From 1970 to 1985 my family would go up into northern Ontario camping and fishing. There is something about the true north woods that always makes me feel at peace. Hearing the cries of the loons is as beautiful as nature gets. Love this video.

Wish I would of got my 28” Walleye on video while trolling for Steelhead. Literally told my buddy I got snagged and started turning the boat. Then I realized the line was moving towards the boat. Insane moment. Video and pictures don’t do justice for the size of fish! 🙌🏻

Glad to see you got back up north. I live in Minnesota and yes the walleye is the best. If you bleed them out before cleaning the meat will turn white and they need to be alive for that so their heart can push the blood out. Well worth it.

I have been going to Ontario since I was in the 4th grade ('94) and doing shore lunches just as long. I got a real good laugh when you use the term "vintage" equipment as much of my hand-me-down shore lunch gear is older than anything you were using! Walleye nuggets, potatoes, & baked beans... don't get no better! Great vid!

Hey LFG next time you're trying for some walleye highly recommend doing some midnight crankbaiting in shallow water especially if you can do it on a full moon night its a blast its my favorite way to catch walleye as floating at 0.6 mph lindy rigging can get a little boring. Thanks for the awesome northland content hope you catch a 30" + walleye theres nothing like a 10lbs + white tip its amazing

I live in Michigan, smallmouth walleye, Pike, perch that's my normal everyday catches. Of course there's largys thrown in the mix. Being surrounded by the Great lakes not to mention the hundreds of beautiful inland lakes and all the rivers feeding them we have in Michigan. Well I know you boys down south are known for your very large Bass😊 an excellent fisheries but I'm going to say I'm truly blessed to be in this state. Side note. Once the kids grown I'm coming south LOL the Winters are brutal😂😂😂
