Great video. My wife and I got a set of SS pots and pans 38 years ago when we first got married, they are about the only thing we ever cook with and still look new. At the time they were more $$ then we had any business spending but man have they been great, and have probably literally cooked a TON of fish and more than a few steers and hogs.

Love the Catch N Cooks. You should try fish tacos- Cajun seasoning on the fish fillets, tri color coleslaw without dressing, chipotle ranch seasoning, and a tortilla of your choice. Air fry the fillets with the Cajun seasoning and mix the coleslaw with your chipotle ranch and tie it up in a tortilla. 5 ingredients and puts a smile on the soul. Great video

22:08 You may need to get Avocado oil since you get your pans hot, it has a higher smoke point and I can’t tell a difference in the taste either. And it’s a healthy fat

Absolutely correct on the stainless! Pre heat the pan always then let the food unstick itself within reason! I only use cast iron or stainless in my kitchen and I do 99% of the cooking for our family! My wife was pissed when I tossed her non stick cookware cause she didn’t understand the process and always scorched the pans! After many frustrating attempts I finally taught her the process and she is a believer in cast iron and stainless!

This is my home lake. I could tell within the first two minutes if that’s the boat ramp that I use and the bait shop that I get my minnows from I will be out there in the morning trying to catch some slabs.

I learned form mom, oil, butter(50/50) salt, pepper, flour, shallow pan fry. Shake the pan, if the fish slides it is ready to flip! Ate a TON of fish cooked this way when my parents had a camper on the lake. Mostly northern pike but a lot of walleye too... occasional panfish when we found one of the roving packs that suspended out in deeper water on the flats

It’s not always “game over” when one comes off. If you can keep the scope on it and get a bait back to it, there’s a surprisingly decent chance that it will bite again.

Hey Justin you say cooking fish in oil in a deep fryer isn’t good for the body but what is the difference between frying fish and cooking them in a pan with a little oil and a 1/4 stick of butter?? They both aren’t good for you I would say so y not just cook them your favorite way and enjoy them!!! I actually have been cooking my fish in a skillet with a little butter and oil and I will use the blackened seasoning and I definitely think it definitely a good way to cook fish!! Absolutely love me some crappies for sure along with some walleye also!!!!
