Probably because it was animated poorly, it looks nothing like what Virgil does in real life. But they've assigned him the Rock On celebration as default which he has never done before so that is really weird.

My guess is some of the more obnoxious or extravagant celebrations were being abused online to grief other players. Stuff like the Dab simply went out of style after being popular for a few years.
