Honestly, as someone who’s spent years volunteering for middle school and high school coding programs (not rly cybersecurity but similar concept), its 100% the most fulfilling thing when it comes to sharing what you know/teaching someone something lol, so I’d agree with this

Interesting how an unknown certification like the new coursera cybersecurity cert is getting recommended by so many people. I mean, usually people would say to get certs that are in the job listings in your area or whichever ones employers are looking for, but for some reason the google certs by coursera are just always recommended.

Hey, Sandra, do you have a video about the Blue Team Level 1 cert? I've been thinking about this one next over CySA+, I already have Net+ and Sec+, currently working as Information Security Analyst and don't want to have too many CompTIA certs on my resume. I plan on upgrading to a company that will pay me about 90K as soon as I hit 1 year mark. Not sure if it's realistic though.

What's your thoughts on the CompTIA CySA+ certification? The training course that I'm enrolled in has us focused on studying and passing that test while on the side I'm studying for the Security+ as well, I wanted to gain a bit of insight on the two and how valuable they would appear to future employers.

Just my experience, but Security+ opens more doors since it’s a foundational cert. However, if your goal is to work in a SOC or do analysis / incident response work, there’s a lot of valuable content covered on the CySA+ exam. I’ve passed both, and enjoyed the CySA+ more.

Yep, the Google Security cert prepares you for the Sec+ and provides you a discount when you're ready to take the exam! I'd still add some additional free resources though like Professor Messer who's awesome on YT. Good luck!!

Can you please make a video about what you need to know before completeling a cyber security bootcamp. Every person that I have found who works in cybersecurity has some previous education or experience in tech. But what if you are going into the course with NO IT EXPERIENCE. SHould I be looking into a different bootcamp entirely or should I think about a different career due to the fact that I have no IT experience.
