So lovely to see you! These all sound amazing and I'm really excited because they just opened a Chanel beauty boutique in Charlotte, which is about two hours away. I'm going to drive over there one weekend and smell them all 😊 This summer I've been greatly enjoying the "eaux" Chanel fragrances I have...Deauville and Edimbourg. Great video, Claire.

Really enjoyed hearing your lovely voice and seeing your face doing a video after its been a while. Same for me, just not been caring too much about many fragrances out there, plus getting tired of seeing the same old stuff being talked about. Love your new found love for chanel, and totally agree with you. It's like chanel perfumes patiently wait for us to get over the chemical soup of many, and discover and appreciate their timeless and distinct style. I like Edimbourg is probably my most worn this year, followed by coromandel and then Comete (ended up falling in love with it after all). Really enjoyed your video, welcome back QB x

Have you tried 5 eau première? I got it for my wife, and she prefers it over 5 edp. Paris - Edinburgh was my favorite for the summer.

What a beautiful Chanel collection. I really love Coco Mademoiselle Intense more so than the original, Coco, Allure and Coromandel. I really want to try No.22. I agree that Allure and Samsara have something in common.

Nice video as always :) I am getting to know Cuir de Russie, it is so put together, some days it is fantastic while other day's it feels challenging, not something I would wear to work. Bois des Iles I love, it is always so elegant. Sycomore is very nice, I prefer it in colder weather though and it's just bit on the masculine side. I like my Christalle and the Eau Verte flanker for hot summer days. Definitely want to get to know more of Chanels Exlusifs. Btw I have a vintage No 5 that I'm struggling with and the more time passes the more i like it, still not a love.

Claire❤️ I fear we have smelled so many fragrances with high doses of synthetics that they jump out of every bottle and assault our noses now. Some of my loves from 5 years ago I now only smell the synthetics. I like vintage, artisanal, Chanel and surprisingly Celine. Good to see you, friend. 😊

I'm absolutely with you regarding the aroma-chemicals. There's one in particular that I HATE and it seems to be everywhere - it's a scratchy, woody note that seems to form the basis of most modern perfumes coming out at the moment. And I smell it everywhere. I have no idea which chemical it is, but I really can't stand it - so many potentially nice perfumes ruined with its addition! I didn't used to like Chanel No. 5, but then one day I wore it randomly and loved it. Now it's one of my favourites. Other Chanel favourites are: Coco (original), Gardenia, 1957, No. 5 Eau Premiere, Bois Des Iles, 31 Rue Cambon, Coromandel... I really love Chanel generally. Not the price hikes, however...

Happy to see you enjoying Chanel perfumes! Have you tried no 5 EDT yet? It's a totally different story, less sweet from all no 5 family, perhaps, so be warned I love no 5 in all versions for their ability to evoke the prickly smell of snow. I wore my Coromandel so much lately! Such a beautiful silver-white patchouli!

Hi Claire! What a beautiful Chanel collection. Anytime I want to smell classy I will pull some of my Chanel fragrances out. They never disappoint. My favorite this summer was Gabrielle the original and the essence. I really would love to get Coco Mademoiselle back into my collection again. ❤💜♥️💜

I have had a similar experience where I wasn't really into Chanel until about 2 years ago. They have remained more balanced, particularly in their extraits. Mainstream and popular niche have gotten so screechy with loud aromachemicals. Bois des Iles was my gateway Chanel. I have recently warmed up to No.22 after swearing I hated aldehydes.

Yes I was sure I disliked aldehydes too, but after hearing Dacobs reviews of 22 went on a mission to explore it and find the florals and vanilla and that was it, I was smitten.

I used to not like No.5 as a kid and during my early teens, however once I started to become more involved in perfumery and exploring the more historical and artistic side of it , I began to appreciate and love No.5 - now it is one that I can never see my collection without. No.22 is fantastic , if No.5 is a little black dress then No.22 is a white sun dress. My favourite of the lot is probably Bois Des Iles - it’s got just the perfect balance of aldehydes, florals, and woods.

Yes Chanel No 5 is a proper beautiful one 😍 I agree that it's one of them we probably have to be ready for. I don't think I've smelt 22 I think I'll defo have to give that a sniff it sounds very lovely. Yes I do love Coco M Intense 😍 Oh yes Allure is very nice, definitely takes me back in time. Gardenia is very beautiful 😍

Claire I loved this, I want to say o have had identical perfume journey as you.. I wanted unique different and even gourmands and I agree with you there was no nuance to these, and I always ignored Chanel despite my mum wearing and rocking these scents, I just couldn’t. Then a couple years ago I finally tried, and it’s stunning! All of them are so elegant, and glad I tried - they are really all I wear now. What a journey! I love Beige, 22, La Pausa, Bois Des Iles .. I adore No5 especially their lotion and body oil - please try body oil as that has an incense base, please try it! I love Eau Premiere too. COCO edp is the the ultimate opulent Baroque perfume and I never ever want to be without it now, it took me a while, but now I’m soaking in the No5 & COCO. Nothing else as elegant. Bois Des Iles is another I cannot be without, please try that next, it’s woody creamy dreamy. I am so pleased to hear someone else enjoys the range! I feel like the exclusives and the Allure and COCO are not talked about enough.

Thank you, if I can find No 5 oil for a good price then I’ll definitely give it a go. I need to explore Bois Des Iles some more, possibly it’s not quite sweet enough for my tastes. Will be seeking to try Eau Premiere for sure now too.

I got Chanel 5 the L'eau version and eau premier. I love both of them, but it took me a while to try them because I couldn't stand No 5 when I was younger. Probably later I will get to No 5 edp

Horrible aroma chemicals and screechy, migraine inducing musks are making me so angry too. They are everywhere now 😭 It's also forced me to look at smaller artisinal houses, Chanel too, Guerlain, some YSL and older vintage bottles of favourites from the past 🥰 You are not alone!!! 🙌💪💃 Xx

Last week I bought Chanel no5 EDP and it is beautiful! The EDT is more peachy and vintage. I agree with you that the new releases are all not that nice and smooth. My favourite Chanels are Chance EDP and Allure sensuelle EDP ( they are nice layered!)

I enjoyed no 5 edt opening more than EDP but the dry down of the EDP was the winner for me.

I've got my trusty Coromandel at the ready, and also fell in love with Comete, and Paris Paris this year I was listening to esscentially dacob talk about Coromandel and Coco herself. I don't think I will ever think of it in the same way. No 5 edp, l'eau and premiere are ones I wear . I also find a lot of comfort in no 19 poudre. Definitely tired of rapidity of how quickly these fragrances are being churned out. How do people keep up, and get to know or understand any of their fragrances with so many. My mum wore Chanel Gardenia when she was a young woman. I think maybe next spring I'll purchase it..also loving Dryad, and Bengale Rouge. Hera and Salome will always be with me. Different house I know. Yet still sort of the same concept Just returning to what we know and love and being satisfied with that.❤❤.

Very nice! Enjoy this episode since my tastes in fragrance have continued to change and evolve over time. Don't get me wrong...I still like many of the things I have from the past, but I just don't enjoy wearing them like some of the Classics and...well, just shit that I enjoy wearing. I'm not a huge fan of Chanel fragrances, but that's mainly because Chanel has such as small men's lineups...and their current marking theme seems to be making variants of Blue de Chanel. C'est la vie. Cheers.

Chanel❤Lately underated (on youtube right?) I LOVE Allure Sensuelle.. Its grown woman sensuality.. I have the edp and the pure parfum. The pure parfume is stuuuunning! So very sensuelle but ofcourse very expensive😃
