I highly recommend Lacy Williams. I found her recently and her western/historical/romance books are amazing! My favorite is The Homesteader’s Wife. The male main character is a single dad with 7 adopted sons and one adopted daughter….so good! She also has a wagon train series that is amazing!

I typically do not like historical romance but Of Love and Treason by Jamie Ogle has become my all time favorite book period. It’s Christian and her writing is just incredible giving you all the feels from laughing to crying.

Did you ever read The Letter Tree by Fordham? Very good! I like her writing. Historical Fiction is one of my favorite genres whether it has romance or not. Super christian author is Laura Frantz, Lori Benton. Thanks!

If your looking to get into historical fictions, I would try Jennifer a nielsen! All her series and Stand alones are completely clean. (No cursing, romance sub plots) recommended her books to literally anyone. Her series aren't historical, but they are so good❤❤

Hi Oceana, Have you ever read anything by Beverly Lewis? If so, can you tell me if they’re clean or not?
@OceanaGottaReadEmAllАй бұрын
I've never read her, but I am pretty sure she is a Christian author and writes clean books :)

I enjoyed these recs. I was wondering if you would include The Letter Tree. It may not include a Faith element, can't remember. Sweet romance, though.

I'm reading IN THIS MOMENT now! (Early Christmas present!) I'm 150 pgs in. I'm opposite of you bc I expect the 2001 timeline to be my least favorite by a wide margin and so far it is. Of course I'm anticipating someone dying on 9/11 ... her dad? Also when the name Delilah appears in Christian fiction, that sets off alarm bells. She seems a little too nice so far ... 🤔 None of the three love interests is the front-runner to me yet. Which was your fave early on? The Civil War timeline love interest is named Graydon? The Union colors are Blue and the Confederates are Gray, so I'm thinking he is possibly a spy??? She seems to have borrowed heavily from Rhett Butler (Gone With the Wind) for this character too ... Anyway, I really, really like it so far! What an imaginative story!! Wow a DNF on the next one!! I need to go read the description real quick! 🤣 Edit: Ok, I can kind of see how the Salem Witch trials and 1912 timelines wouldn't be as exciting as the first two books ... 😭

Thanks for your video Oceana. If you consider the 1970s/1980s history, why not add A Year at Marshywood (also available on audio) and/or my soon-to-be-released A Visit to Stoneybrook to your 2025 wish list? If you do, I hope you'll be entertained and blessed!
