Thank you for giving us professional, well written content with engaging visuals. All the main questions about games are addressed quickly, the organization is nice, especially with contents in the description, and I have been introduced to many new board games through these videos. I also appreciate the nice studio set up and the shots of the games; very professional and engaging.

If you enjoy Eldritch Horror and TIME Stories, you really need to check out Arkham Horror: The Card Game. It has completely replaced Eldritch Horror for me! And the story is great. Win or lose a scenario and the story goes on with the choices you made that affect the game and story going forward. Brilliant design.

I gave it away because my gf hates horror games. We are looking at LotR LCG now. Hope that does a same thing for us but without the rituals and occult stuff.

I've been eying it for a while now. The only thing stopping me is that I have a big collection of LOTR LCG and seeing how it went with that I'll want to buy it all. But alright.. I'm ordering it now and if I go bankrupt in the next few months it's on you Ryan! :D

Lately with my wife, we really enjoy coops in escape room genre - Unlock! series, Exit series, etc. + deduction like Chronicles of Crime. Also The Crew, we have had blast with that in bigger group. A year ago, when we got Pandemic, we clocked around 30 plays at least, but lately I just sometimes play it solo in app on iPad... :D

If you like the coop escape games, maybe you'll like the ''Key Enigma, Hack forward''. It is a little expensive but it takes 8 hours.

First time stumbling upon your channel. I like the format! My picks would be as following: Real-time: 5 Minute Dungeon (super quick to pick up and play, borderline party game) One and done: 7th Continent (amazing game, but I would unlikely play an old curse again, even though part of the puzzle is to stay alive) Heavy Games: Gloomhaven (heavy in rules, tactics, time and time, but what a game!) For everyone: Pandemic (any version, but I prefer Rising Tide) Wild: Nemesis, semi co-op game mode (Alien: The Board Game. One of, if not the, most cinematic board games ever)

Thumbs up for some love for MagicMaze games. Between two castles actually was a vlever choice when I think about that. My additions would be Exit for one and done, Escape tales for story, Forbidden desert for family and Robinson crusoe for heavy.

I really like Escape the dark castle. It has a retro feeling to it, like a lost game from centuries ago you found in your grandads attic or something. Cool game.

Well, to be honest, I would not count Nemesis as a co-op, even though Nemesis is one of my all time favorite games. But now that I think about it, it could have fit the Wild Card category. Well darn, now we will have to make another co-op video some time.

Wow! Nice content! I also want to share this Lagim Card game that my family and I are enjoying. It's amazing that they actually came up with the idea of Philippine Folklore since it's kind of dying down a bit. It will surely educate future generations.

We played the last part of the expansion of the Harry Potter game last night. Damned does that game have serious flawes. You better hope you have a good market or you are screwed. No strategy at all. You only defeat enemies that are a problem and discard the rest of your damage so you can build your deck. Than you have to hope the market is playable because you can't get rid of them and then you wait for like 4 hours until you finally get through all those villians and creatures. The creatures you can damage are fine but the onces you have to buy away are annoying because you can only pay 1 each turn to do so so the game takes forever. Really overstaying it's welcome. If a game is deep, 4 hours is fine. If you are doing the same thing over and over and are just hoping to get something decent out of the market then 4 hours is way to long.
@JTilaks
@JTilaks 3 жыл бұрын
Agreed, it's not well balanced. We actually have few house rules that you might find improves the game: With two coins you can discard one card from the market ( they added a way to discard market in one of the expansion as well, but it was all or none ) and bad effects that impact "All players" will affect only the active player and the next player. We found that this levels out the playing field if you have more than two players and speeds it up, because players will have more turns. And you would be surprised that it's doesn't make the game easy at all. Interestingly we've never had a game over 2 hours, but I would agree that 4 hours is way too long for it. Thanks for the comment! It's fun reading other players experiences!
