I had 2 KV-1s defeat a vet 5 King Tiger, making the OKW player ragequit even though my team was completely buggered. Several vehicles tried relieving the Tiger, including a Puma, but they all got destroyed.

​@@artificialintelligence8328 I still hold the view that Allies are more OP in comparison to the Axis, simply on the basis that they have the capacity to recover from serious punishment from the Axis factions. It's really not fair that the Axis (OKW in particular) are so fragile. But back to my original comment, that Puma only won because of my opponent's mistake (overextending, and looking away), RNG, my position (consistent rear armour hits) and the fact that I had TWO Puma intel bulletins (penetration and reload as I recall). In any other case, I could've (and would've) lost that Puma quite easily...

​@@artificialintelligence8328 Tell you what, I only really play OKW, 1vs1. But I've invested 1030+ hours now in the game so I know my way around all the factions. I do feel that the King Tiger is quite a menace, but honestly, the KV-2 isn't any less terrifying (very resilient and lethal) and as I recall, it's also cheaper! I feel like even if we don't use the (often times) ambiguous terms, OP or UP, all I can say is that the balance is too skewed. Allied tanks don't really underperform, and yet the price disparity is quite insane. 90 fuel for t34-76, 140 for Ausf. J Panzer 4, so you can get 3 tanks for 2... add on plenty of anti-tank airstrikes and ramming, and you can see why it's questionable to say the least! I always get told that Axis have it better at late game, but as with any strategy game, early game snowballs into mid, and eventually late. Every faction needs to be competitive at every stage. But it's alright to have their own QUIRKS, at every stage... I just feel like we shouldn't have any factions being better or worse at any particular stage. Granted, this game isn't and will never be like chess, but perhaps what makes chess so fair is that it's binary, and a 'perfect game' will always lead to a draw (sure, white side's first move advantage considered as well etc.) From the moment white makes the first move, black has a fighting chance. You can try a scholar's mate, but black has a fair chance of countering. Meanwhile, in CoH2 I just see too many oppressive tactics being used and ENABLED by the questionable competence of developers and their balancing philosophy.

@@samwu1836 Hmmm, do u think the original T-34s are decent? I'd say they're kinda weak. You need at least 2 at once because 1 will almost inevitably be destroyed. Their ramming has also been nerfed quite a bit, so I only see it as a last resort, usually. Still, that is a pretty significant price difference. Maybe it's meant to reflect real life (not the best choice by game devs)? The KV-2's performance against tanks is somewhat limited. It isn't terrible, but its shots do deflect. Relic will be Relic, with their ever changing balance 'fixes'.

Nice work building those tanks. But my American rear echelons took damage from the Obers, and when playing as the Germans, it gave me such a feel to use those elite units, not too much because bulk of German infantry are composed by Grens, P.Grens. OS are the highest German infantry, only matched by Riflemen, Conscripts, Rangers and Guards.

Jadgtiger being S tier might make sense if it was pre-nerf, also wasnt the elefant more agile than the jadgtiger? as an OKW main the JT is freakishly sluggish even with the engine upgrade. They made good points for KT being S tier, surprisingly good at sniping infantry. Also why didnt they include the OKW puma, it has an amazing skill for disabling tanks.

In regards to the Sturmtiger, 151 forgot to add it so just as it sneaks up to take out the enemy, it sneaks it's way to S tier based on it's firepower, inveteracy potential, armor, and meme worthy moments. Draw back is slower reload and speed but pretty great unit overall. (Post Patch Update) The Tiger Ace and Commander Tiger are now S Tier, OMG they over corrected to now both are incredibly OP. Nice!

Sturmtiger is pretty nerfed in the meaning of firepower. it usually cannot eliminate an AT gun. though it can reload when moving and much cheaper than before. but it's become less useful as a final weapon. and you cannot call King tiger when you have a Sturmtiger. So I preferer it to a C tier.

I was a dumbass once and rushed a Tiger Ace, never again XD Biggest issue was definitely the fuel and I think my opponents knew it cuz they never killed my TA, always let me retreat it. Should've just sacrificed the bloody thing like you said here.

The panther is a heavy tank. Only in the game and the german army was it considered medium. It's armor is considered heavy in every other army standard. And even in the game, it's armor is way to high to be considered medium 😂 it even uses the heavy skin.

In the new update you can use the TigerAss and also get Ressources normal, but the TigerAss has no stars like any other tank he musst get experience. Now its very good also if it get killed you can call another TigerAss. It costs 250 fuel and aahm i think around 700 man power

The penetration and damage of the Puma hasn't to be underestimated. If I'm playing OKW it's the number one killer for Katyusha, Priest, Sherman, T34, SU-76, SU-85 and couple of heavy tanks. Get two Pumas and a command Panther, use them wisely and you gonna love it. Definitly an S-Rank for it's versatility. Can sniper-shot snipers with it's ability, also decent for infantry. T-70 has got nightmares from it. I love the Puma. And the escape ability and the price. This thing can easily outrange, outran and outrage most of it's rivals.

A bit of a differing opinion; I'm currently ranked in the 30's with my AT and we primarily play Axis, although we play a lot of both (All of us has 3000+ hrs logged each and are top 50 in both allies and axis) -Swap Ele and JT, a couple of reasons for this; Ele comes with either scoped cars or a command p4 next to it, Ele has a very good vet 1 ability, and OKW has better commanders for team games. We pick JT when we need Wehr doing something very specific and can't get a Ele. If either of them are flanked in high elo they are pretty much toast. Ele is tougher than JT with C PZIV and has smoke. Yeah it can't kill infantry but you don't buy a super heavy TD for killing infantry, that's what Brummbar/Panzerwerfer is for. -KT rating is too high i think, the reason for this is KT's armor is not that amazing anymore, its quite slow without blitz, has slow turret rotation compared to other tanks and needs vet to be very strong. TD spam is very common in team games and the KT suffers really hard vs the 60 range TD's. It's gun is great but OKW has better options for their heavy slot. Id probably put it at low A tier. It's frontal armor has been nerfed over the years to the point were AT guns and SU-85's bully it super hard. -PZIV. Whermact P4 and OKW P4 preform differently, OKW P4 generally preforms much better with less RNG. This is one of the strengths of the new Wher doctrine, it gets a OKW P4. this cannot be understated how much better it is. RNG is the bane of P4's much like Panthers and OKW's P4 preforms just better. -Command P4, high A tier in team games no way around it. It makes all tanks take one extra shot to kill. C is way too low how much it swings matches in the late game. -Tiger Ace, S tier in proper hands. It's fast has amazing RoF and accuracy good vs all targets easy to keep alive and great vision. (Post patch) Probably the strongest single tank in the game when used right. -PZ II Its really just does not have the shock factor that it used to, and by the time it comes out a Stuart or a t70 will almost always be on the field. Due to the proliferation of Wehrmacht players rushing flametrucks now or fast 222 allies normally rush at least one at gun now. Its very rare to see a P2 have free reign. Med truck is overall just a stronger opener anyways, you need IG's in a lot of games and 251/17 is your team's AA.

Very good observation. I agree with all, except one thing. I thing king tiger is not even a, its completly junk unit imo, so easy to kite. Its probably b..yea kg vet 5 is strong, but that rarely hapens. Ultra slow, not enough hp(feels like heavy tank, not like super heavy) and not enough armor... i would acept making it higher cost, but giving it proper armor and hp. It just sucks currently, same front armor as is-2. And do you think tiger ace 800 mp and 260 fuel is too costly? Unit is good, but feels too costly imo. 750 mp, 250 fuel would fit better, but im not 100% sure about this one.

I know most people want the biggest and heaviest tank, but I really love the axis light armor. Panzer II makes sure my volks survive the penal+guards onslaught, and the Puma is a menace in the early game, and the “little car that could” in the late game.

I'd disagree with the tiger ace. It's either the thing that saves you by just cutting up the enemy bit by bit and you just end up bleeding them out as well... oooor you hit a mine and can't support it against overwhelming odds. There's no inbetween. Well microed tiger ace's can demolish an allied team. I did even send a replay with it where it was basically the foundation of the game and it kept killing pretty much everything it came up against.

In my opinion the Luchs is rather garbage. It's simply because of the cost, performance and overall impact on the game. Statistically, I lose most games when I go down the Mechanized regiment path instead of regimental field HQ for Medic unit preservation. The thing with the Luchs is the MP, Fuel AND Munitions cost. Forcing me to use 45 munitions often, for the med kits, and leaving me with a delayed Schwerer Panzer HQ is quite crippling. Furthermore, with a conservative & defensive approach/playstyle, the cheaper Flak HT provides more utility (suppression and anti aircraft) and damage anyway. Until the Luchs can convincingly tackle vehicles as well, if I compare the Flak HT and Luchs in an anti-infantry role, I find the Flak HT to be genuinely better due to its high explosive shells and rapid fire flak. I know people talk about how squishy the Flak HT is but I beg to differ. In conjunction with a infantry support gun and combined arms, you can bypass enemy machine guns and pressure the enemy's anti tank guns, we also know about the notorious flak HT smoke bombs right? Don't forget that the flak HT can actually fight T70, USF jeeps and universal carrier quite convincingly with the assistance of panzerfausts and/or rakketenwerfer. In the end, if you look at the game as a whole and the impact that the full cost of purchase and upkeep of certain units, I feel like the Luchs is the fast track to a defeat. I've noticed that in the elite level of tournament play we're seeing OKW players really running medic HQ a lot more now. Naturally, it's not surprising to see some play Mechanized while desparately vetting up their volksgrandiers to level 5 for the self heals... Thoughts?

COH is definitely not the game u play for realism. The ranges battles occur in are like what you'd expect from Medieval/Napoleonic battles, and tanks absorb several penetrating shots. Doesn't the machine gun in the original still miss most of its shots?

Well, the MGs in this game are in a strange spot. If they were effective killing machines, they'd kill infantry before you can react. This is probably why the god damn suppression system is a thing, which is still kinda broken to a degree. Problem with this is that the Hull guns, pintle guns, and the Coax guns on tanks don't suppress, so they just do a crappy amount of damage. They could probably use a bit of a damage boost to compensate for this so that the Puma and Panther can actually engage infantry and win.

IMO, KT is not S tier, its more like A tier, its slow, slow turret traverse, it can be easily outranged, flanked, and TDs can just shred it, did i sad its slow, its meh for its cost and pop cap, for a late game, well when you are calling in KT you are in some early late fase or mid late game, enemy also has lot of good armour at that point, he's just good for holding the front lines and VPs against armour rushe and infantry push for vp decap etc, blitz abilities are good for chase low life heavy tanks to knock them out and then push back to hold line and VPs again, and thats it..., the most value of KT is in 2v2 3v3, 4v4.. but 1v1, its just not worth it, better use 2 panthers

Ace for F and flame hetzer with stuH for D (maybe even F becouse all of these are from commanders so u mostly use normal tanks anyway). Ostwind with and Stug C jagtpanzer for B. PS. Its from my personal experience how the players mostly on my team (including me) use these tanks terribly un-effectively. With the rest i can agree with 100%.

Just go with Armoured vehicles are those that are in effect immune to light arms fire. So this can discount the half tracks and sdkfs.Great list but I would put the Tiger up in the A with the Panther personally because of its all round versatility on the battlefield.

@@TheNatenigga I do not think coh fits the pacific theater, because of the lack of tank warfare, but they could add new mechanics to make it more fun. I feel like all tanks that never saw combat, will never make it into a new coh game,because relic try to keep their games "historically accurate" (even tho coh2 is not that accurate at all).

I do not know what you mean with the rest of the comment. kamikaze attacks were used against the US fleet and I do not think naval combat will ever be a thing in a coh game. I feel like the rng in this game, is what makes it so great and the stormtroopers got nerfed and cannot use MG42 anymore and will not start with any upgrades.

i think, this is wrong, jadtiger and king tiger are beast but too slow, any smart allied avoid a fight with them, jad tiger must be B tier and KT is too slow to approach to anything if a kt get a allied kill is a skill problem for the allied player. also both are very expensive, kt is already a mobility kill when hit the field. is F tier. Tiger I is faster, more agile and capable. and need a lot less of babysitting, he can escape at least, tiger I must be A and elephant is a SOLID S who bring a definite long range anti tank weapon to kill infantry?, you already have a lot of options to do that job give me the elefant, outrange everything already have the same damage and is a little bit faster also is less expensive, is just a better tool for the job , panther is S tier no doubt. in order to deal with long range tank destroyers must outflank but is a pretty solid anti tank-tank. capable of anything well supported. and have less cost than a tiger or any big

In 1v1s and 2v2s , tiger ace is the best tank you can deploy. When you comparing the tank , you should consider the 1v1s and 2v2s , because game is actually designed for these and thats why people have frame drops in 4v4s. When everyone throws everything that they have to see whose wining you get fps drops. Theres no micro management in infantry wise except throwing nades. All about artillery ,armor management and sending constantly not vetted troops to the victory point to contest or capture. Luchs is the best light tank because in 2v2s and 1v1s , you have luchs with puma or raketen covered. It easily kites conscripts sappers and riflemans that try to snare him and deals good damage to the aahalftracks , light scoutcars and even to greyhounds. Abou tiger ace , it beats pershing , is2 , comets everything. If someone micros the tiger ace like it should be , it will decimate everything. You must preserve your all units well to actually play this commander. Everything you have must be at least vet 2 because its "elite" troops . Regular tiger , yeah it should be B but if you doing your regular shots with attack ground you will see that tiger is pretty accurate when it gets vetted up.

Its my second tongue , sorry for typing wrong. In 1v1 and 2v2s , you have micromanagement in the highest point but in 4v4 you just attack the points and in the late , you probably no vetted infantrys because of the panzerwaffers katyushas and landmattress or smt else.

Not sure but I believe side armor exists. Ingame it says that side and back armor are easier to penetrate for tip in loading screen.
