When i played judo my body felt like it was on fire after class. Classes were 2 hours. One hour stand up and another hour for newaza. For about $40 i bought a few roll out ive packs from Dicks Sporting good. I would take em out of the freezer after class and lay them on my bed. Worked like a charm and substantially cheaper.

what would you suggest for my wife 5'1"-- what kind of extra step stool or other to help get in and out with much shorter inseam vs you or even me (and im only 5'6") -- great review BTW really super helpful.

Great review. I'm looking into buying just the chiller to connect to my Pod Company ice bath. Have you ever tried to get it colder? Is 5 degrees as low as the chiller goes, but by adding some additional ice would it get it down much more do you think? Thanks man!
