From this year on, incoming freshmen actually spend their first year at a different building (the Dwight). That building is ONLY for freshmen though, so you won't be in it for more than one year. I've spent one year in the dwight and it was a little depressing as there are no installed lights and most of the sunlight coming in through the windows is indirect. This means it gets really dark and you end up feeling like a zombie after a while. I think that it will also be a bit chaotic with only freshmen. It's really not all that terrible though, and you'll do fine if you can stick it through that year.

I went to Columbia and the dormatory located on Plymouth street downtown was nothing like those forms you live in. Those are the coldest dorms.

I attend columbia and the space at 30 East is very small, unless you have a single room. It’s really nice but very compact if you’re sharing a room
