My favorite (outside my own team) is Penn State. Between the synchronized white pom-poms, the stadium lighting, the cell phone lights, and just the sheer immensity of the place... wow. What an atmosphere. It looks incredibly cool! 👏 Looks like the Ducks are set to travel to Beaver Stadium in 2025 - here's to hoping it's a great game that's a whiteout with both teams highly ranked! 🤘

My first ever football game was when I was a child and it was the rematch of FSU vs Florida also known as the 5th Quarter in the French Quarter. My church had tickets and we sat pretty close and the atmosphere was so electrifying to see the Noles come out and kick serious butt. I also got to see the Noles play the Hurricanes at home and it was so packed I thought I would suffocate. Love FSU and I really miss Bobby. The greatest coach in FSU history.

It's the Stead Family Children's Hospitol. Fun fact: Ferentz the HC, donated the money to make the area where the kids hang out and watch the game, thought it could help them to have something to do while they're recovering. My nephew spent several months there, got to watch every home game (he's a huge hawks fan), he was so bummed when they told him he didn't have to come back :'D

The good ole UIHC next to the stadium. The family children’s hospital has saved numerous lives of kids there and is easily a top 10 hospital in the country. The wave is by far the best tradition in all sports.

@@eugenepoon - I went to Michigan and was surprised we made it on here. We've got the biggest stadium in the country. Holds something like 110,000. That changes some cuz they add and subtract seats when they want to build suites. Anyway, for the longest time we had the reputation of the "Quietest 100,000 people ever." I think some of that was cuz of how the stadium was designed. It's mostly underground, so a lot of that sound simply went out. Then they did stadium renovations about 10-12 years ago, and added suites. From that point on, more sound stayed within the stadium. I agree w/ the OP. I'd add FSU in there, but for not knowing I thought he made some good choices. Those 2 places (plus FSU) are every game. Michigan blows up once in awhile. Penn State's non White Out games aren't all that intense more often than not.

I went back for a game after graduating at Virginia Tech, took a date, a grad student from the UK spending 6 months in the US doing research (at another university). She had never been to a US football game. It was definitely overwhelming for her. What you don't see is the 2 hour tailgate party before the game begins.

As a Bama fan, the audio quality on some of these really detracts from what it actually feels like when you're in the stands during these moments--Dixieland Delight is just a fantastic experience. But with that said, among these clips, the Penn State and Virginia Tech clips really felt different, in an intimidating way, while the Wisconsin and South Carolina clips were just pure joy to watch

Been going to LSU's Death Valley for over 40 years. I've seen some mind-blowing atmosphere's (LSU-USC, LSU-FSU, LSU-bama, LSU-Auburn, etc.) But I've NEVER witnessed anything like the other-worldly environment on 11-5-22 vs bama. And I'm giving kudos to the first 'Death Valley' - Memorial Stadium in Clemson. (The same moniker happened almost accidentally for Tiger Stadium in the 60s.) There's nothing wrong with having two Death Valleys IMO. But Clemson's was the first.

Not sure how FSU compares to the other traditions, but is sure is damn fun going to an FSU game. Especially when you see Chief Osceola plant the spear at midfield. It gives me goosebumps every time. You got get in the stadium early to him do that. If you miss the coin toss, then you miss out. Because I believe he goes out on the horse to plant the spear right after the coin toss.

I was at the top of the east stands for that game, and it honestly felt like Lane Stadium was going to collapse when they played Enter Sandman during Miami’s last timeout because of all of the jumping. I guarantee no one heard a thing in that huddle 😂 I believe it was also the first game at Lane to register seismic activity, but there have been a couple of more since then

Fun fact about Wisconsin's jump around: the geosciences department at the uni has seismometers that monitor the shaking and can detect when the "Jumping Around" is happening from more than two miles away from Camp Randall Stadium. In addition, the shaking of the stadium causes the press box to sway back and forth and multiple concerns about structural stability have been brought forth, but studies from the engineering department at the university say that the structure is sound.

The most bone chilling things I’ve ever seen at a college football game Half empty Bill Snyder Stadium Manhattan Kansas.
