I’ve had the hardcover graphic novel for ages and just picked up the original issue online a few weeks ago. Am I ever glad that I did now! I guess it’s going to be expensive and hard to find for a while now. LOL Such a great comic. It’s always the one that I lend to people after Ghost World.

My first introduction to Dan Clowes. Recently read this, got the horizontal strip styled book for cheap on ebay. Goes for like, less than $10. Amazing read, i was left with more questions than answers and felt like I just watched a great movie that needed a rewatch to re-appreciate it.

Today will be a beautiful day! This inspired me to check for the millionth time if fantagraphics will ever rerelease the complete eightball and like magic…Boom! There it was, preorders up.

In terms of the new material in the Pantheon edition, Ken Parille did a useful listing in his excellent bibliography. What's new consists of 8 new stories: " a 2-page untitled sequence; David Goldberg; Harry Neighbors, Comic Book Critic; Leopold and Loeb; Paula; Convenience Store; About the Author; The End. A story from E22, Harry Naybors Explains Everything, has been almost completely redrawn and revised, now appearing as 2 stories: Harry Naybors Explains Everything, and About the Author." I think the paperback edition has a new back-cover showing David Goldberg munching on chips (which is a clue of Random Wilder's guilt). Another piece of evidence of Wilder's guilt is in the epilogue featuring Goldberg where he seems to recite a poem by Wilder -- the one example of Wilder's poetry having an impact!

Ive Watched so much of you guys now that I feel like this isn’t out of reach to say but. You guys love all the best things about American comics, and Japanese Manga is (in my opinion) leaps and bounds better than anything in American comics. You guys read Vagabond or Berserk or even something like Junji Ito stories and you’d be blown away. I hope you guys look into Japanese manga more. Always great content though. Keep it up.
