We would like to acknowledge that there is an error in the video regarding the Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II. Contrary to what was stated, the camera actually has a built-in flash. We apologise for the mistake.

Surprised there wasn’t more responses to your video. Probably the two favorite compacts on the market and used for street photography are the Fuji X100V and Ricoh GRiii. As pointed out, the X100V is difficult to obtain for the MSRP. Large outlets like B&H have stopped taking orders. Fuji has stopped manufacturing this camera. An announcement is expected for the X100V replacement. The GR is a popular alternative to the X100V. The GR has always had the 28mm lens until the GRiiiX came out with the 40mm POV. I much prefer the 40 to the 28mm lens. 28mm is too wide for me. I must get too close to my subject and it is hard to fill the frame. People love the GR series for the pocketable size, snap focus, and the sharp lens. The GRs are also cheaper than the Fuji. There is talk on YT about the GR sucking dust onto the sensor. I have a Fuji X100S. I like an EVF. Ricoh only has a non electronic viewfinder and it is expensive. Also the body is too small for me. I like my M43 LX100. Very small and light. Also love the fast glass. This is as close to Leica as I can afford. The other two bodies have 1” sensors and that is too small for my taste. There aren’t any bad cameras now. You have a choice of price point and features. You can’t go wrong with any of these cameras. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

Always happy to see the G5X Mark II mentioned in videos like this, but you are incorrect about the flash. It has a built in flash and no hot shoe, the opposite of what was mentioned in the video. The pop-up flash is in the center next to the pop-up viewfinder. So the downside is that it has no hot shoe, unlike many past Canon G series cameras. Thanks.

Thank you for pointing that out. Unfortunately we realised our mistake after the video was uploaded. We tried to trim that part in KZbin Studio but the cut doesn't match because of the background music. We'll mention it in the video description.

Yeah! Good luck finding a new X-100V for its actual retail price! :(

Guess what if the damn idiots didn’t pay the price it would drop. People don’t realize we can control the price look at bud lite for example no one bought and almost went bankrupt

G5x ii has contrast detect auto focus not the dual pixel auto focus. Honestly it still autofocuses well but it does not have the DPAF system you mention.

Unfortunately Canon once again took crap on us canon users by discontinuing the Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II. A fantastic point and shoot that instead of seeing a Mark III version of it, the G5X Mark II simply disappeared into obscurity. Which is pretty sad because it pretty much stood above most other P&S cameras

Have you ever used any of these cameras? This looks like a collection of manufacturers' image films...
@camerageek608 Жыл бұрын
I've tested the Fujifilm X100V and I currently use the Ricoh GRIIIx. The X100V is a better camera but the GRIIIx is more compact. The footage in the video is indeed sourced from the manufacturers.

I am wondering what would be suggested for someone like me. I am an amateur photographer but I love taking photos. I generally take pictures of my kids or nature. I also record video of my children. In a camera, I would like: At least 20megapixel 30-60fps for video, doesn't have to be 4k Some zoom for my outdoorsy shots A quick shutter speed as my kids are lightning fast A macro mode for the small details 10bit color Priced $400-600 What would you recommend? Please and thank you for any guidance! 😊
@camerageek608 Жыл бұрын
The Sony ZV-1 comes to mind. 10bit color is missing though but that's common for cameras at that price range. Also, the lens doesn't have a macro mode but the minimum focus distance is 5cm so you can get very close to your subjects.

Please give me advice sony zv e10 or canon r50 for my first camera?
@camerageek608 Жыл бұрын
It depends on your specific needs, preferences, and the type of shooting you're interested in. For example, the R50 offers better image quality but the ZV E10 performs better in low-light conditions. I recommend watching some comparison videos of the two cameras.

GR is very good camera and has good picture quality. Only drawback is small and complex buttons..

Very surprised that there was no mention of the Canon G1X Mark III. Almost the same size as the Canon G5X but with a 24MP full APS-C sized sensor.

Which one is good for the Landscape & scenic photography?
@camerageek60810 ай бұрын
The Fuji X100V and the newly released X100VI, are great compact cameras for pretty much any situation. Look into cameras with interchangeable lenses as well, like the Canon R50 for example. It's a bit bulkier but you have more flexibility when it comes to focal lengths.

@newblor Жыл бұрын
@@Mercutiossword It doesn't. Phones are only good if you only look at phone screens. Phones have tiny sensors and glass. Just look at the photos from the best phone cameras at native resolution - they will be far less detailed than any proper camera with even a standard 1" sensor. Anything larger, like APS-C, completely blow phones to dust.

hey I work at a Galaxy Store in Japan, Galaxy Cameras are good, but it is good because of the software. If you know cameras and how to operate them, those are still going to be better.
