This video is a COMPLETELY UNBIASED RV REVIEW of the 2022 ‪@ForestRiverInc‬ Rockwood MiniLite 2513S or the Flagstaff Ultra lite 25BSDS. We take you on a walk through to show you the compact size and huge storage.
We loved that the MiniLite 2513S had such great living spaces with lots of counter and so much storage for such a compact RV that could be towed by an average sized truck. We didn't like that it did not have a dinette and was only partially accessible with the slide in.
The Rockwood Mini Lite 2513S is for sure an RV for the RV Sometimer, full timer or snowbird or weekender/vacationer. It is most suited for a couple or solo traveller since there is only 1 bed.

I have the 2021 2513S model. Best advice to purchasing any Rockwood models is to thoroughly go through the trailer. The dealer will do that for you; but they miss a great deal. Make sure wherever you purchase a Rockwood trailer that they have a solid warranty program that will jump on repairs ASAP. We purchased ours during CODVID and the craftsman ship is very poor. The store where we purchased our camper was snail crawlers when we brought our unit in for warranty repairs. The middle glass panel shower door shattered without any hard driving. Leaks is a major issue in regards to the pex piping and overhead vents. We installed the go power solar as well as a pull out tray in the front storage area. I want to add reading lights over the couch. We are exploring ideas to replace the long table (i.e. TV trays, lap trays, etc.) We also purchased a better mattress. Making the bed can be a chore. Recommend adding edge guards to the night stands because the edges are sharp and can easily cut the back of your hand when tucking in the sheets. I had to drill larger holes in the mounting plates for the griddle/bumper mount. Our griddle cooked well, but it doesn't come with a cover. The manufacturer doesn't offer one either. You have to explore amazon to find one. We haven't traveled with the griddle mounted to the griddle bumper assembly yet, but may do so next week. We have a camping buddy that does and he is fine with it. The outside door latch mechanisms seem too short and can open up even after locking them. Rockwood offers a model that has the murphy bed. That model has the dining table. There are many things I love about our camper. I just wanted to let your viewers know what we had to go through. Peace!

So cool that you have one. There are challenges and you make some good points here. We agree the PDI (pre delivery inspection) is very important with any manufacturer because the issues you bring up are common unfortunately. Yes the dealership will do a walk through with you but they really only want to spend as little time as possible on it and they don't want to find any problems that they would have.to fix because they know their shops are way to booked up as you mention. This is why it is good to find a dealership that you like. Some of them even have their own rv spots so that you can test all of the systems out overnight and then they can get on fixing things. If you can it would be good to plan all of this with some time before your big Adventure. Anything at the rear of the trailer does get a rougher ride and again that will be with any brand. We love rear kitchens but there is a risk to the fridge being back there. Pex plumbing. is great but anything that leaks anywhere is a problem. We love the idea of the pull out tray. Does is waste much space? The long table instead of dinette is a problem for us and could be a deal breaker. We hear you about the beds being difficult to make but we see that as one of the trade offs we would give a little on (and then we would complain about it later haha). Good to know the griddle cooks well and you were able to get it to fit right. We get that keeping it there saves you storage space but we don't think it was designed to be left there during transit and don't recommend it. Not only could you lose your griddle but you could cause an accident or harm someone one else. We aren't sure which outdoor door latches you are talking about, the ones that hold the door open or the ones that lock it closed? So we would need more info to be able to comment on that. The other floor plans with the Murphy bed and the dinette, they are also great but different in other areas, like the bathroom, so again it is about what you are willing to give to get. Honestly, we would ask for the couch to be removed and put whatever we wanted in the space. These are our thoughts on all of the areas you have brought up and we hope we have addressed them. Like your video. Looking at this as a option. Currently have a Rockwood Roo 21ss hybrid. Getting really hard to set up, take down and make the bed completly every trip and stop. Also looking at the murphy bed styles. Not sure if I would like one. Any comments on the murphy bed. Also just found Wildwood 22RBS. Just concerned if the construction is much different than Rockwood products.

Glad to help. If you look back through our videos we have done a Rockwood/Flagstaff with the murphy bed and our thoughts are that we would like the murphy bed as long as the bedding can stay on. We have no problem putting it up and down but we do not want to have to make it every night. It's been a long time since I have done reviews, as I have been very sick, so I don't remember if I have reviewed Wildwood but my thoughts are that it may not be the same construction, wood vs aluminum frame, no azdel in the walls, so those would be some differences to look for. You guys do a really great tour . I would say I like decor and color but really do not like theres no space for cups and plates , also, the closets are way to narrow to put anything inside them if you wanted to use for food pantry .

We are glad you like the tour but we would have to agree to disagree on the storage. Yes the pantry by the door may not be big enough for wide items but the one by the fridge is deeper and things like plates we would just put into the deeper drawers or turn them in a different direction in the pantry so in our opinion the reachable storage is fantastic in this rig. Love your review videos! I always appreciate it whenever you're able to show a detailed view of storage beneath the dinette because if I get an RV with a dinette I'd definitely want to tear it out and replace it with a desk. I'd love to see a review of the Wolf Pup 18RJB (small toy hauler floorpan) if you ever have the chance! (Or even a "How it's made" on the Forest River Wolf Pup).

I swear, the designers miss the most obvious things.. like the bathroom door. I dunno if there was room for the barn hardware (w/o interfering with the slide) I'd change it right away. Loving the light colors and the outside kitchen!

Really nice camper! Like the outside kitchen and electric stabilizer Jack's. The inside kitchen is very nice. Our only complaint would be the dividing wall for the bedroom, a couples trailer really doesn't need it and it would feel a lot more open without it. Great review, thank you!

Hey guys thanks for the video of the Minilite. I won’t be watching much anymore because the dream of RVing and traveling across Canada and then south to the US is done. With the pain and my shit health I have realized that it just won’t happen. I think the most I’d be able to do is rent an RV and camp close to home. Great question and one we are researching as well. What we personally think is that they can go both ways. Some are a bit of a scam and some are actually good. It depends on what the warranty coming with the unit covers and then what the extended policy covers, for how long and at what cost. It is also a bit of a gamble in the sense that with every insurance it is only worth it if you need it, right? We have heard such great things about the E Pro but we have also heard how every manufacturer is struggling and rushing to get product out the door so it's tough to know. We did buy an extended warranty on the Beaver but it was used and had no warranty. We did have to use it and it paid for itself plus saved us some so in the end it was worth it. We have heard lots of good things about Wholesale Warranty and would suggest you check them out. We are not affiliated in any with them but once we learn more details about them we would consider it if they are actually performing as good as we hear. What we would do is compare policies and what they cover and for what period of time and then we would decide if we need to buy it right now or if we could wait until the factory warranty is running out which would also give you an idea of how well your trailer is performing. It will also make the extended warranty more expensive but then you would not be paying for something you are unlikely to use as well. These are all the questions we are researching too. @@gobigorange99 Let us know how it goes with Wholesale Warranty and also consider that including it in the payment adds interest and has you paying for the policy over the life of the loan which could have you paying for a policy even after it expires. Just a thought we had.
