The Kia Sportage 2023 is the best bang for your buck, feature-rich like a 60k+ car, and it's very spacious. Probably will be seeing a ton of them on the road in the next year and a half.

Just purchased a 2023 CX5. We are retired and don't need lots of cargo space and rarely have second row passengers. I like vehicles that have a proven track record even if it is an older design. All of these vehicles look nice though.

I just purchased the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. All other compact SUVs mentioned here are impressive and compete very well with the RAV4 when new. But their biggest problem comes after 8 or 10 years when you realize you are stuck with a vehicle that's not a Toyota.

What world are you living in? The RAv is almost last on this list. CRV resale value is higher than a Rav4.

My Hyundai Santa Fe is 7 years, 135,000 miles. Toyota is king, gladly everyone else took notice and have vastly improved. I just could not want a car 30 other people are driving in my neighborhood.

I tried them all, and didn't think Rogue would be even a contender. But looking at base models changed everything. The base Rogue is pretty loaded, and comes with a 37mpg 230ftlbs turbo engine, that was more efficient and powerful than the base engines in the CX5, CRV, Sportage, and Tucson. The base Rogue also had soft touch all over the place and was very well featured with nice base wheels, something that could not be said for the others in base trim that were very cheap. The Tucson base model taillights for example look SO BAD compared to its higher trims. The CX50 didn't even exist in base, the base trim won't be available this year. Many of the competition also massively overused gloss black, which looks horrible after a month or two. Lastly, to step into the hybrids at the time (November of last year at least), all the dealerships had HUGE markups over MSRP for any hybrid, whereas a base Rogue-S I got for slightly under MSRP. So sometimes you really have to check them all out in person, and so glad I checked out the Rogue-S compared to the CX5-S, it was a much much much better base model vehicle.

Say whatever you want about the Tucson, but saying it isn’t the flashiest compact SUV is rather bizarre. If anything, it’s too flashy and breaks the mold a bit too much for some people.
