New format for the Patch Guide - Let me know what you think. Should improve over iterations, but I think the flowchart can be quite useful. Stuck with fairly basic conditions this time, but in future can also do more specific conditions when they are relevant for a patch.

Just found this gold nugget of a channel and I must say that I am very pleased with how easy you make it to understand the depths and main points of the lines and compositions! Your voice and rhythm also makes a 30 minute information bomb much more bearable to get through. Question for Warriors comp 17:54: why would you build red buff on Kalista when you have AoE wound on Katarina? Is it merely a substitute for Guinsoo's or is it mainly because you have few bows in the compositon? Wouldn't Last Whisper be better since the comp needs less crit items and want armor shred? I'd like to know your thoughts on that. Final note, you just GOTTA keep the flowchart for your next guide!! I know it might be a hassle but it distinguishes you from other educational tft content creators and elevates the quality of guide above others who just gain attention of their names. Why? Because it is way easier to truly understand what you are saying when it is visualized. Keep up the good work!

great patch guide, getting back into tft after a few years off. when did sunfire stop being an early no brainer item slam?
@GM_Blue4 ай бұрын
When Morello and Red Buff became so strong that getting your anti-heal through them was much more efficient than Sunfire. Morello / Red Buff provide BOTH good stats and utility for your carry, while Sunfire Cape provides almost zero tank value so you only are using it for utility. Sunfire is still strong in early game, but falls off hard in late game so you generally prefer other items. There are circumstances where you are still slamming Sunfire though.

I know it's a dumb question, but what would you consider an ap Opener? Like if there are multiple rods then that's obvious. But what if you have a mix of components. Like belt + bow and maybe a cloak/vest. Would that still be considered an AP opener?
@GM_Blue4 ай бұрын
Belt Bow + defensive component can go either way - your units + carousel item will help determine direction at that point. Nashor's is quite low on the "slam" list (in fact, I pretty much never slam it). With that exact opener, you can angle Rageblade or Morello (depends on your units) with Rod on carousel, go Red Buff to keep it flex, or go tank item if you are somehow low pick priority (direction becomes difficult then though). In other words, I'd try to go for A+ tier items on carousel instead of slamming a C-tier item before carousel. Only circumstance I'd slam the Nashors is if I had an insane opener and could actually winstreak with it. By waiting until carousel, you get info on your opener (AD / AP) and then can try to angle an A+ tier AD / AP item on carousel. In general, an AP opener is more obvious, when you have items like Morello, Archangel, Shojin (most of the time, can also be AD though if in a bind), etc. Also the units you have - if you're playing portal opener, that's usually going to be AP even if you don't have AP slams immediately. You would ideally go for AP items on carousel and try to build AP items after Krugs.

Why no early Infinity Edge (just to at least have it, since I feel like I use almost every game)? Also, what do you think of rolling the dice with Thieves Glove?
@GM_Blue4 ай бұрын
Infinity Edge is a terrible first item. It's not that you won't ever slam it (you would if you have win streak potential), but it's a multiplier item when you basically have no damage. And also, it's a filler item on most late game carries. The biggest saving grace for Infinity Edge is that it kills glove, arguably the worst component in the game currently. But yeah, generally speaking not a great item.

Ziggs is better than you give him credit, you just have to know the positioning. You can absolutely hard stomp early game with a 2 star ziggs early. Put main tank in the first row 4th slot, secondary tank down and to the right one hex, third tank far right first row, and ziggs in 3rd slot of last row. This will make him hit the enemy back right corner on first cast. There's a setup for the left corner too

He said “two reverse fons” when he’s talking about the reroll veig + vex comp… did I hear him right? I have no clue what a reverse fon is.
@GM_Blue4 ай бұрын
Yeah sorry. It's TFT lingo. FoN = Force of Nature, the original item name for Tactician's Crown. It grants +1 team size. A reverse FoN is a community made-up phrase that describes a "dead unit" on your board. It isn't actually -1 team size, but it's effectively -1 because that unit is so weak.

@GM_Blue4 ай бұрын
Trying to thread the line of only including "relevant info" (as in, a normal person will see the circumstance in their games some percentage of the time). For example, in the flow chart, this would be its own start point (Vamp Scepter Opener) so it's fairly niche. Definitely open to doing this in future vids (An Upgraded Adventure was an experimental version of these highly niche openers that are worth knowing).
@Prospective24 ай бұрын
@@GM_Blue Yeah I can understand that. It might be able to fit under upgraded adventure like you said in future videos if it's still around.

@minsoocho26644 ай бұрын
I think warrior reroll doesnt want multi in because your carries dont use multi after akali got nerfed. Playing around 4 warrior plus preserver or bastion (lillia or rakan) on 7 is way stronger imo. Kalista wont ever get itemized and mixing two different mellee comps doesnt make sense if you arent carrying akali.
@GM_Blue4 ай бұрын
This is an alternative option that you can play around (Preservers mainly), but generally the Kalista version has performed better even on LAST patch, before Hecarim received insane buffs. You mention only the reroll version doesn't want Multi, but the reroll version is still duo / trio carrying Akali. It's the standard version that doesn't use Akali at all, but you still end up wanting to play Multi because Hecarim's Arcana bonus is very good. By the time you get to 9, TK + Xerath + Hecarim + Kalista outperforms Morgana + Rakan + Zilean + Bard. Generally you would just play whichever you hit, so I should have mentioned both. I showed the shell on 7 for the sake of understanding the trait web and the +1's, but you aren't actually staying lvl 7 with Warriors. Also for whatever it's worth, you do usually end up getting some items on Kalista (you're not typically itemizing BOTH Kat and Gwen - only itemizing Kat if you can 3 star her, otherwise itemizing Gwen - after that you'd just go for Kalista items).
@minsoocho26644 ай бұрын
@@GM_Blue oh i assumed 4 warrior was still reroll. if you play the comp like this, wouldnt you just item carry kat for gwen, go straight to 8 then drop 4 warrior to play around 4-5 costs like typical kalista warrior flex. Because in my head we are looking for kat 3 fiora 2 gwen 2 and not really even thinking about going 9 in the first place. Also i find that you can itemize 3 carries in this comp because of the faerie item, and most of the time its the warriors over kalista, as having two unitemized warriors on the board is useless. But i do think you are right, just play around whatever 4 cost faerie you hit on 7 (kali or rakan)
