The 32 bit is ONLY available when using internal recording. NOT in conjunction with the receiver, NOT via TRS, NOT via USB on a computer and so on. Big bummer.

True. I think that that statute expires some time soon though (it’s because of some patent from an old audio company… can’t remember the name of the company tho). So for SURE be on the lookout for some massive innovations in this space some time very soon!!

This device is good if the task requires wireless, and mono suffices, but if wireless is not required and the content needs to be stereo (or mono - you can choose when editing), the Zoom M3 is significantly cheaper.

Yeah the zoom m3 looks great. Never used it but seems awesome. I do still love the fact that my mic AND my camera can have the same audio feed.

You know what I think happened on thet, though, is the pre-amp in the camera may have been the issue. I need to test it on an external recorder to be sure, but you’re right, it’s a bit more different than expected.

@the-creative-block ik, for years i was one to just clean up audio from internal recording until i got my first external experience. It'll never be the same ... Even internal pre amp in cameras are bad
