Please don’t buy LG Charcoal convection oven. We have the 32 L one. It’s functional but breaks down easily. Every 6-8 months the magnetron goes off. It costs 3K to fix it. No guarantee. Also the wheels under the rotating plate gets loosened and we need to replace the plastic ring every now and then. It’s frustrating 😢.

Air fryer will make food taste like cardboard many times. Because it draws out all the natural moisture in the food completely to crisp it unlike oil fry which locks in the moisture inside and crisps the outside of the food. Crisping in convection oven is better because it will still be crisp won't be too dry which is a big problem with air frying and also have the natural juice of the food. Air fryer uses the same technology of a convention oven. The fan to circulate the heat. Just get a wire rack for convection oven. You will get the same crispness but the inside will still have the juice in it. For foods like French fries cutlets etc. Things like murukku will air fry very crisp because that is not made with vegetables or meat. Only has water content from the added water to batter. The water will be removed by the oven and you will get crispy namkeen. I would recommend convection oven with crisper basket.

SS inner cavity has tendency to rust. I dont mind hole in OTG but for microwave its a health hazard. What is the best way to avoid rust. Can we apply thin layer of oil to avoid rusting or simply go for ceramic enamel MW. Life of the MW should be atleast 8-10 years.
