I have had this saw for two years and have used it for multiple laminate flooring jobs, multiple houses I have trimmed and this saw is literally bad ass man. I own Milwaukee m12 and m18 but damn you can not beat this one. It still is holding strong as the day I got it. I have made several thousands of cuts with a 4 amp battery 6 amp battery, pretty much whatever and it does the job. I am impressed with it beyond words. Pair it with a Diablo blade and let it do the rest. Without a doubt one of the best purchases I have made. It has made me a lot of money.

So I need a new cordless miter saw. Good to hear this from a pro. I’ve been looking at the Milwaukee but the Kobalt looks good as well. I’m on the Makita and Dewalt platforms but the DW 7 1/4 is single bevel and underpowered.

Thanks for the review! I purchased this last week along with the 6.0 aH battery. Both are spectacular in performance! Can’t think of a single thing I don’t like about this saw. I even prefer the LED cutting guide vs laser guides I’ve used in the past. One thing not mentioned here is a light button on top so that you don’t need to engage the motor in order for the LED cutting guide to “mark” your cut. Along with the 6.0 aH battery, I’ve made almost 200 cuts (mostly 2x4 and 3/4” plywood) and the battery is still at 4 out of 4 bars. I really think Kobalt knocked it out of the park with this one!

I've been cutting crown nested on the backfence forever. I wouldn't need to lug the 12 inch Cobalt to cut crown anymore if I learn to cut flat already. This tool makes it an easy choice. I've even used the Hitatchi 15 inch mitre saw on double 9 inch crown stacked on a facia above the top cabinets to the cieling to avoid cutting flat.
@jamesvfreetage64035 жыл бұрын
Vince, the 30° stops are for cutting compound miters on crown molding without actually putting your crown molding on an angle on the saw.
@joshmay64519 ай бұрын
My boss/buddy showed me what the 33.9 degrees is for. It's for cutting crown super easy. Set your bevel at 33.9 and leave it there. Now all you have to do to cut your crowns is change the angle on your deck from right 33.9 to left 33.9 and that's all you have to do to get your crown to come out right and super easy. What I did was just made up a bunch of reference cuts so I could look at them for reference if I get caught up

I really wish there was a saw, just like the Cordless 18V 7 1/4 Ryobi Miter saw that had the same motor as the Milwaukee 7 1/4 handheld circular saw. The Ryobi I have isn't brushless and frequently stalls in cuts, requiring you to remove the friggin battery to restart the saw. Just a simple small lightweight chop/miter saw, excatly like the Ryobi but with some actual grunt. I own the Milwaukee 10" sliding saw, but it's not needed for most jobs. I love the small and compact size of the Ryobi. It's very handy, but lacks power. Maybe I just need to build it myself. lol. A saw without extra weight, just for small fast accurate jobs.
