Just as a suggestion, when you do your bar graphs, can you arrange them from best to worst? Like the highest RPM being the farthest to the left and the slowest being to the farthest right? Just easier to see and understand which ones are better abs makes the graph more linear. Anyway... Great video, love the testing and it feels good when you see the tool you bought do well in said tests.

I will in a few months, working on perfecting the drill dyno right now. My plan is to build a Dyno for Dremel tools. Only the 8240 can use the 6aah. The 6ah won't fit the 8250 or 8260 because of the tail hitting the base.

Same issue. I've had three replaced under warranty by Milwaukee. Hopefully, their new design is more robust. Every one of mine failed with different electronics issues after limited use, and I wasn't doing anything particularly stressful on the tool when they failed. It is powerful, but has horrible electronics. Meanwhile, an old Dremel I've got keeps on going.

Yeah it gave the 8240 a boost, sadly though you can’t use the 6ah in the 8250 or 8260 bc of how they designed the housing. The tail on the tool hits the bump out on the battery before it’s fully seated.

@@Tools-Tested thanks for replying, sorry I wasn't a bit more specific, I meant the m12 2460, was the rpm higher with higher ah batteries? My 2460, which is the newest iteration says it tops out at 37,000 RPM and you got roughly +30,000< with the 1.5ah, which is the worst battery for it, so I can only imagine it performs better with higher ahs.

The only problem with the 8220 is the battery is proprietary. Meaning that battery doesn't fit into other tools. Just an FYI, when your battery dies, go to amazon for a replacement, they make knockoffs that are cheap to replace and work really well. I myself went with the M12 after my battery died, mainly so I could add to the tool line with that battery working with multiple tools

Another interesting video, presumably the larger capacity batteries can maintain a higher cutting speed and torque under load. Shame about the Ryobi, it looked like a reasonable setup. Proxxon are quite readily available in the UK and very popular amongst home-based machinists. They are usually good quality and offer a number of their own accessories, hence the non-standard fit. Not too bad a price, £175 for the kit in the UK.

Nice vid. I think u missed the point a little though about proxxon re standard collar adaptor. Proxxon have their own accessories and stands etc way better made than the dremel or generic.. just as expensive of course but next level. The motor itself or the battery is nothing special, it's all the stuff around it that is built better that allows it to work with way more precision, especially the drilling station etc. Still for regular work I agree the milwaukee is king... not sure the brushless version is worth the wait or spend, this is fine for any job you would use these tools

If dremel made a 6 AH battery for their tool it would outperform the Milwaukee. If you compare them all together with the same amp hour battery the dremel wins. If you can buy a Bosch 6AH battery with the dremel you should try that and do a comparison on that. AH changes everything in a tool literally. Voltage is one thing but AH is the real power behind it.

My Milwaukee 2460 burned out while cutting some aluminum downspouts. It only had a few hours of moderate use in total.
