As a breeder I understand the need to racks/tubs. But as a owner I believe its our job to recreate the animals natural environment as much as possible. I’m glad that the community is shifting toward this standard of care. And this is coming from someone who kept snakes in tubs for 12 years.

Nice one! I've been using these as well once my hatchlings leave their 6qt tubs. I love the ease of care and have all kinds of climbing possibilities in them, fake foliage, etc. I ran velcro across the fronts on mine, as an extra layer of security bc one did pop out. LOL It happened in front of me while feeding and I got the gecko immediately. Also, The Container Store has an awesome XL shoe box with strong magnets that is taller (16")...I use those too. Nice job, thx. -Greg

how do you keep these humidified? and what about lighting?
@tmreptile8 ай бұрын
I mist them 2x a day. As far as lighting I have a few reptiles that have heat/lights so that lighting along with the windows give them a day/night cycle
@venxm2435 ай бұрын
Cresties specifically don’t really need specific lighting. And heat lights/mats aren’t recommended either since they can succumb to heat stroke if temps get too high. Not to mention they stick to walls/tops/sides. So heat lights could burn their feet. Just as the og creator said. Misting twice a day is enough. Plus. Think about quarantine tanks with reptiles on paper towels. It’s the same premise.

@@kieranreid1649 As far as what bugs I feed. I hardly ever use mealworms. I have colonies of dubia roaches and that’s what I usually use.
