Hey Baron, the reason why your plane "crash landed" that one time is if you lost the engine that carries the landing wheel your plan derps out. Also your engineer doubles as a medic and can heal your people without sending them to medbay.

You'll want to upgrade engines and armour for wings, front and mid-rear. Those are the vital parts. Furthermore, you can use the navigate by stars ability to fly at much higher altitudes to aviod fightrs and flak, and then also use the custom markers more for greater fluency in evasion of flak.

Navigate by stars only works at night though.. if the mission is during the day it has no effect.

Because bombs start to drop from where the sight is aimed forward, you can drop the bombs first and take the recon pic afterwards. The drop delay is enough to take the pic even from low altitude.

Depending on the mission, you should decide how to flee. Hard levels you might get high altitude clothing to fly away out of flak range an d some planes. Also, high altitudes can fire ventral turret but other fighters can’t shoot anything.

Baron try flying above low altitude to avoid flak, and use oxygen tanks and thermal gear so your crew can survive better above low altittude.

Make sure the your engines are armoured as best they can be, then ensure the fuselage is armoured (at the very least around the cockpit where most of the crew is stationed), and make sure your gear racks have plenty of 1st aid kits and parachutes in case you go down to minimise the risk of losing everything (there is also a slot for a homing pigeon and an inflatable raft). Point-farm to earn the intel and money needed to pay for those upgrades and get the mission bonuses to diminish enemy damage and armor. Last. but not least, fly at high altitude at night to avoid flak but if you must fly low remember to click the 'evade flak' ability and/or manually route around AAA.

corkscrew, emergency dive and evade flak can be used to throw off enemy fighters and outsmart aces. Evade flak might not bring you to medium altitude and might just make your plane do some maneuvers.

Also, Operation Lelantos is fairly straightforward if you manage to evade all radars throughout the mission. Practice flak evasion with the navigator's custom waypoints in secondary missions before Op. Lelantos if you feel like you need it.

Equip people with presets also you should bomb London when you fly over it also being at medium altitude allows you to dodge most flak and being at high altitude allows you to get rid of most fighters following you

Evade flak makes you take less damage from flak and your pilot will automatically avoid targeted flak (the flak where a timer appears above it) keep in mind that once you complete that mission you will start facing german jets that are much faster and stronger than you are and will target your crew to kill them almost instantly.

This game has physics. Going to medium alt make you faster and avoids flak. And since it goes faster you don't need as much fuel (lean). P.s Everyone who doesn't need to move should get more armour. The people who need to move get lees which makes them quicker. Also would appreciate more bomber crew.

Baron try to get a lot of parachutes so that the VETERANS can escape and live to fight another day PS. Try to use corkscrews and emergancy dives to dodge incoming flak/shots/planes that are trying to kill all the channel's VETERANS
