Baron! Lean and Boost are both life savers but they turn off after a while and have a cool down and you need to activate them again. Here's how I do it, 1) Use Lean all the way to the target zone (Use Radio for recon to avoid flak and radar zones). 2) complete mission using regular fuel mixture, 3) when mission is completed use Boost, high altitude, and a custom nav point to get out of there. 4) Once you get to high altitude, use lean again until you get home! The engineer has to be at his station to keep the fuel mixture changes actively monitored, leaving turns it back to normal and puts the skill on cooldown. And, while you don't need it now (haha), he has to be at his station for YOU to activate manually the engine fire-extinguishers you had bought.

Baron you were right about being able to manage fuel through the seat in the front with your engineer. However, from that seat you can also manually extinguish engine fires, and it comes in handy a lot. Great work, keep it up, remember to use multiple altitudes!

BARON u can use a fire extinguisher to put out engine fires if you dont have engine extinguishers. Emergency Dive can also extinguish fires 2. Radio for reacon reveals enemy positions. You can also Move fuel to one tanks to another any Other stuff u should experiment on or look at EDIT:dc about spelling if i got it wrong as long as it got delivered

Be careful Baron. Your Engineer is the only one that can be a secondary pilot as they level up, and the engineer station is pretty essential to keeping your plane going. (I got this game after seeing you play it). You can also manage fuel. I tend to run on lean as often/frequently as possible to make it last as long as possible. Radio for Recon tells you where hazards are (so it says) and the next ability is the auto-tag for the radio person. I'd suggest having a backup for each position, and having a medic as well. (Made my Radio a medic, my navigator a radio, gunners into engineers, engineer into pilot, and pilot into navigator) Medic gives you an ability to heal people without a medpac, when using that specific person to heal. I'll keep watching and enjoying! Love your content :D

Right, time for my two cents on the matter. After fiddling around with the game for a bit, I've got a few advices that might work for you Baron. 1st the bomb Aimer position can be taken by anyone, meaning that if you have your "bomb aimer" Guy on a gun, someone like say the engineer can take the position and use the bombs. Only real advantage of a high lvl bomber is that mid altitude photos are better. 2nd should your pilot get injured, anyone can take the pilot seat and have minimum functionality (but prevents the plane from nosing down and becoming a permanent sticker on the ground) 3rd engineer as a first aid is great since he's the one that moves around the most, bomb Aimer can be Gunner and take the ventral turret when needed (refer to point 1 for bomb deployment) 4th Radio op can be either secondary engineer or medic since her only function is to watch the radar, once you've marked most of the enemies this position loses activity which can be redirected elsewhere. I found that having radio op as engineer is great for fuel mixture usage while the engineer is out repairing/healing soldiers. Also, radio for recon marks enemy gun emplacements on the navigators map as well as possible secondary objectives. Best used over the channel while nearing the AO. And I think that's it... If I remember anything else I'll be sure to drop by on your next vid. Cheers mate, you're doing a great job with the channel. Edit: focus is best used on fighters primary approach, right when they are coming straight at you. And remember that the engineer station controls the engine extinguisher system, keeps your mechanic from going on the wings too often

Since you have a new crew , just grind some of the side missions and stay away from the big campaign missions. When your campaign progresses in this game, the enemy planes also get harder to kill. Ps. The radio for recon skill gives you information on your map about dangerous fly zones that could have lots of aa.

Custom Nav Point lets you put your own navpoint on the map. If you point one towards England and just keep going past it, you will eventually end up in England. Use this at High altitude in order to navigate even when your navigator can't see the ground in high altitude.

Also Baron your radio operator's skill "radio for recon" only helps spot things on the ground, such as flak of photo opportunities. Later on you get the ability "auto tag" which does exactly as it says. Keep up the good work!

The flight engineer has almost the most important position, you shouldn't move him around. With the auto extinguishers you had you can put out a fire from his seat and watch your fuel. Additionally going to medium altitude increases your flight time by almost a factor of three. Lastly the oxygen system only matters if your at high altitude so it's not a priority unless you are at high altitude with crew without oxygen equipment. BTW I'm loving the series, hope that these tips might help

Baron, Baron, Baron... you did lots right, but a few suggestions. Read the crew abilities in the Training area. Pre load an extra magazine for all your gunners before takeoff. Have your Engineer use lean regularly to maximize airtime. Also use the Engineer station to put out engine fire(s), no more engine extinguishers? Use the onboard one or emergency dive if you have enough altitude. For bombing, to maximize front turret time and minimize damage, you don't need to go to bomb view until almost above target. Use that time to get any incoming enemy fighters focused. Also use the gunners special ability when the enemy is closing for greater effect. As I'd said, you're doing a lot right, keep at it! Btw, I lost my all of my 1st crew on their 3rd mission in similar circumstances... Salute!

I will tell you...to defeat a ACE very easly you need to activate "focus"and"incendiary"for your upper turret gunner...and a thing,when you send someone to repare the engines you need to go straigt and don't turn.P.S i hope you can use those tricks Edit:plus,if You are not near your bomb target keep the bombardier in the nose turret to improve your defensive power on the front of the craft,i forgot to say but keep your engineer at his station,From there you can activate the engine fire extinguisher to kill the fire...good this are the most usefull tricks that i can give you.

Your bomber uses more fuel during maneuvers and climbing, then a normal amount during cruising, and less during dives. Also if you lose engines you climb slower and use even more fuel. I usually only use lean during take off and climbing. Also, your flight engineer (repair man) is the only one that can be a secondary pilot! Hope this helps!

On the last leg of a long-range mission, it's imperative you keep the engineer at his post to manage fuel. Keep it lean during the flight back if you can handle the fighters. If a fuel tank gets damaged, the engineer can transfer the fuel to the other wing so you don't lose it while it's unrepaired. In case you need to repair things once over Britain, use your gunners and bomb aimer for damage control, since enemy fighters won't follow you into England. You can put engine fires out by equipping someone with an extinguisher and sending them out, or by purchasing an engine fire extinguisher in the aircraft equipment, which can be operated by anyone sitting at the engineer post (so if he's away, you can send the navigator, for instance, in case of an engine fire). Mind you, this equipment has limited uses, so if you run out, you'll have to send someone out with a fire extinguisher, so perhaps put one in the rack closest to the hatch. An alternative to fire extinguishers is to use the pilot's skill "emergency dive" if available, which works from mid altitude and above. Just make sure everyone's in a station and no one's outside on a wing, because they WILL fall off the plane. Also, armour is worth twice its price. Upgrade the fuselage armor whenever you can, equip your gunners with the best flak jackets and helmets you can. Do that with everyone who's pretty much stationary during combat. Hell, I armoured up everyone but the engineer, who I basically use as a runner to carry ammo to the turrets as well as a firefighter and medic. Finally, when you're done with your mission, it's best to fly at mid altitude after you get your heading back to Britain, so you can avoid flak and give your crew more time to bail out so some might survive if you go down.

Hey Baron. Your Navigator can make custom heading that is the purple symbols, after a mission use your navigator to head back to England and go to medium altitude you wont see where you are but all turrets will be able to shoot down fighters and if engines are on fire emergency dive will put them out. With your Navigator try to mark a safe rout for your return home and avoid hazards like aa guns those are the red circles on the map. Your radio man scout button only shows where flak and aa guns are but it will be one area at a time. At level 6 he can auto select fighters for you as a special. lastly don't get attach to your crew but provide them the best means on survival.

Before the 1st mission, try to grind to level 3 .303 turrets, before the 2nd try to get 50 cals, before the 3rd try to get the back on 50 cal feeded and focus on getting armor, like an load of it. And DONT worry about the O2 at low altitude, it dosent affect you or your plane, and also.... just dont keep your engineer at a gunners position all the time.

If you keep your macanic at his station you can use the engine extinguishers, also instead of using the macanic as your 3 gunner send the bomber to man the 3 gun in the rear that way your macanic will be free and protected. Calling for recon will show you enemy flak locations, the radio oporator skill at lvl 8 is auto lock just so you know. Last but not least i suggest haveing at least 2 crew with the medical perk as their secondary, trust me it will come in handy more often then you think. BARON dont use ventral turret at low altitude! Send the engineer back to his seat so that he can lean the mixture for fuel conservation! If you are at medium altitude, send the dorsal gunner to ventral turret! Also the engineer can extinguish fires from his seat, if you have Engine extinguishers installed!

Hey baron. To put out an engine fire findley has to be on his station or grab an extinguisher to go on the wing. You also have to upgrade all the engines you only did two! Overall you can't put ammo on an empty slot. Hope it helped you

1. Before you even take off, select the gunner, and then the ammo bin. He will have an extra ammo belt on him. 2. For that long-range missions, you need the engineer up front. Select lean--you will be able to do it twice before reaching the ship. To catch up to the guns, you then need boost. Move the engineer to the front gun and back to his station as need be, and have the bombardier concentrate on his job. You will then need to hit the lean button a couple of times to get back to base.

Baron, at mission start, send all your gunners (top turret, rear turret, nose turret) to get extra ammo (it will show 3 belts of 900 instead of 900/2 it will say 900/3), then get your engineer to pick up a belt of ammo and man the ventral turret. He can remain there, unless you need repairs. The engineer should then be sent to get ammo and return to engineer position. As he sits down, he will drop an ammo box. Do this a couple of times to have some ammo on the floor for the nose turret gunner. Then send him back to get more ammo, and then ask him to pick up the medkit at your rear equipment rack. He will drop the ammo and pick up med. Send him to get more ammo, and he will drop the medkit next to ammo box, Place this ammo belt in the medkit slot. If you have a 3 slot equipment bay, you can store much more. You can also get a continuous belt feed at your rear turret, but not if you have a twin .50 cal setup there. You can do all this sitting on the tarmac until you get used to how to restock ammo supplies, but after you're experienced, you can do it on the way to the target area. You can also fit engine fire extinguishers after more XP, but you can get anyone to pick up an extinguisher and crawl out on the wing to put out an engine fire. You can also perform an emergency dive to put it out (if you have enough altitude). Good vid. Keep it up.

Ok Baron it's time for Bomber Crew tips b/c that was bad. Losing a bomber and it's crew is detrimental especially late game. It only gets worse from Operation Chariot. So grinding for RP, money, and crew exp is a must (recommend doing that off camera). Outfit your crew with better grew like better helmets and flak vest. Also make sure that your engineer has high mobility, b/c they need to go fast to start repairs ASAP. On the topic of your engineer I recommend keeping them at their post at all times, b/c they manage your fuel levels either it be through lean/boost (use lean to conserve fuel when you're not "on the clock" to bomb an objective) or transferring fuel from port wing fuel tank to the starboard wing fuel tank or vise versa. So I recommend not having your engineer as gunner nor having them trained as one b/c the engineer is the only crew member that can be trained as a back up pilot. Your ventral is not super useful at low altitude (except when encountering a heavy fighter with Schräge Musik). The ventral is a lot more useful at mid to high altitude. Now you mentioned in the vid that the bomber systems i.e. electrical, hydraulic, and radar are not interesting like the new gun turrets when that's not quite true. Maybe to the viewer it isn't but to you it should be like getting a new phone b/c they improve your aircraft's performance and reliability. I hope this of some help to you Baron if you see this. Been subbed to your first channel sense 2012 so keep up the good work mate. P.s. The "radio for recon" ability is for finding extra objectives and flak zones. You get "auto tag" at level 6 with your radio op.

A few tips for baron: PUT OUT ENGINE FIRES! * Either by sending out your engineer to the wing with a fire extinguisher. * Or by using the automatic fire extinguisher upgrade (forgot what's it called) at the engineer's station. (Note: This still needs to be manually used & has limited charges) * Or by climbing to a higher altitude or descending to a lower one or have your pilot perform an emergency dive (at Medium altitude) If you successfully put out an engine fire, there's a chance your engineer can fix it. They'll last longer. Lastly, don't perform any maneuvers or change altitude IF YOUR ENGINEER IS OUT ON THE WING! That's how I lost mine... P.S. Radio for recon shows you a hazard at your navigators map, which you can avoid using your navigators "Custom Heading" ability. (The purple indicator you saw)

Another tip is that if you know you don't have enough fuel to make it to base, do an emergency landing. Crew has much better chance of surviving. and if you land in England, then all your crew and plane should be returned alive. No fuel is basically a death sentence for all your crew.

Don't remove your engineer from his/her station... Put the tail turret gunner on the ventral turret because having the dorsal and ventral manned gives better all around coverage. At the same time always get the highest DPS guns you can get don't bother with ammo feeds because they're basically useless. The ammo will be closer to the gunners so they can reload faster.
