New Balance makes skate shoes. This is actually my first pair of skateboarding shoes from New Balance Numeric. They have a pro team with Jamie Foy, Chris Colbourn, PJ Ladd, and Tiago Lemos. This shoe that I review is a cupsole shoe with good board feel, good support, and good impact protection.

Old vid but good review bro. Funny you brought up the es quattro because those are some of my go to's and only switched to the 1010s last week because those are getting hard to find (Es in money trouble again, bummer). Agree with everything you said, lil 'dad' looking, but comfy, seem durable and skate great. Reminds of the Es Evant also.

eS for me 👍🏻 def the Evant is my fav, with the Swift & Accel Slim not far behind. I tried the Silos, but the rubber around the heal/ankle kind of was disappointing

About ten years ago I struggled finding a shoe that wouldn’t slip off my heel, so I ended up cutting/shaping some fairly dense foam and sticking them in similar places to the phantom fit business in the Tiagos… worked a charm! 😂 really tempted to try a pair of these!

is the toe box roomy? I'm tired of buying shoes that end up giving my left foot some bunionette. I have 577 in 8.5, fits great and roomy. 574 All Court in 8.5 and my left foot feels a little bunionette. I've also tried 288 numeric sport in 8 and that definitely was a no go.

I skated a couple fa decks and didn’t like the concave but loved the squareness of the nose and tail. if you want something with the same shape but a little bit flatter concave go with habitat and some alien workshop boards come in that shape as well.

I feel like I have to go up 0.5 size up in these, same with almost every other pair of NB# I have had. 440, 255, 533 V1 (up 1.0 size), 533 V2, 358, 868. Does anyone else feel like they have to size up? I have seen and read reviews that claim TTS or 0.5 size down, which surprised the heck out of me. Sweet review and this color looks amazing on foot!

i dont like them at all for skating. i got the grey and red ones when the shoe first released. the toebox felt clunky for flip tricks when i first wore them and they also felt slippery for the first few sessions

Are these flat like vans with zero drop or do they have an elevated heel?

I don’t have any experience with vans zero drop, but I feel like these are pretty level throughout. The heel doesn’t feel elevated at all. Hope this helps!
