Dance is more than just the execution of movements, it is also about conveying the emotion and meaning of the music whether it's sultry, sad, happy, aggressive, etc. Jimin and Taemin both excel at this. Jimin's dancing is literally is what got me to look into kpop and BTS. I was trained as a dancer for about 13 years before I stopped competing and when I saw a clip of Jimin I couldn't help but be mesmerized by him. His dance lines, emotions, and ease with which he completes difficult choreography is insane! I wish we could see more of what he could do outside of the group like we did with the mma performance, lie, and serendipity. He is one of my favorite dancers and that's including all the professional dancers I have followed and seen in my years of watching countless performances of various styles.

Completely and totally agree. His dancing in the Coming of Age cover dance he and Jungkook do looks completely effortless. His dancing to the song Lie is breathtaking. I have never been more taken with a male dancer than I have with Jimin. He moves with fluidity and grace and yet he can also move like Michael Jackson. He is truly a one-of-a-kind dancer. The footage I’ve seen of him when he was much younger and he was popping and locking blew me away. I wish he did more of that now. The dancing he did in BTS’ early days in videos is something I’d also like to see more of. He is one of my BTS cobiases and that’s because of his dancing, but also because of his almost ethereal beauty, his handsomeness, and his cuteness. And he’s really sweet on top of that. Not to mention that fantastic butt.

Jimin deserves that spot. I think he is at a professional level rather than an idol level. He had always been doing the hardest moves and executes them perfectly. His bodylines are gorgeous. His body control is down to a minute and down to his pinky. He uses every part of his body to excutes the moves, muscles, joints, hair, and fingers. His postures are impeccable.

J-Hope should be higher. No other idol in the male category can outdo him in isolations and that's on period. People tend to overlook his capabilities as a dancer. Has great hip hop sense and has great dynamics, he can easily change to his more groovy style then to his more powerful side. Taemin is number 1. A lot of people say that he is outclassed, I don't think so. There is a big reason why he was called the dancing standard of KPOP and he and his group showed the world how great KPOP idols are in dancing. I haven't seen any other group do that. Note: this is not meant to dismiss the maker of this video. The person stated that this was based on voting. People should really know the talent of Taemin and J-Hope

Even the video clip of Kai doesn't even show his modern dance solo. That solo beats Jimin. But then, this list was based on fan votes, not technique rating.

@@wenjun7357 Rocky really deserves that top spot for his versatility. Kai has superior technique as well; however, he keeps focusing on choppy movements. I want to see more flow at times. I knew at once that he was an excellent dancer once I saw his chaine turns on Seven First Kisses. He had perfect form, airy instead of earthbound, which is a ballet line (like you have a string at the top of your head and it lifts you up as you dance) and perfect spotting. He can look anything from a ballet dancer to a popper to a figure skater. I had to check out Taemin. He is good; however, he's very limited to popping. I saw him try to get balletic, but his technique was off. Spotting was off when he tried to do chaine turns (it didn't even look like he was pivoting on the ball of the foot, since his feet looked like they were flat on the floor). It's almost like he's just trying to be Michael Jackson, so while he is good, I cannot give him the top spot. That would go to either Kai or Rocky. Taemin would be third.
