Darren being brutally honest I like the unboxing and more technical parts of your reviews - weights, balance, close ups etc. Everybody throws differently so that part of the review is not as important. What I’m trying to say is your reviews without the throwing part would still be really great content and really useful to your viewers. We don’t want you to hurt your elbow anymore so please please please consider keep doing the reviews without the throwing. You’re the best darts review channel on KZbin. If you go we’ll be stuck with the dodgy American.

Yes I have always said that throwing the darts on video is not really needed for most, its just done for the sake of it really but its also handy to do it and be able to explain how the dart feels, but if I cant play with any set long enough to know what it feels like to throw then my videos would just be more of a reference of the darts specs than anything else. If people were happy with just that then I would continue doing that. I would hate to have to leave you at the mercy of the unmentionable one though lol but seriously will have to see how the rest of the year goes. I have around 15 reviews already complete on my PC so I will be getting a break for a short while in the process of uploading them, hopefully by then I will have managed to get an appointment with my physio and see whats next. :) Cheers! :)

Hey Darren, you cannot imagine how important your videos are for us darts enthusiasts!! What we look for most is how the darts look up-close, the balance with different stems, and how the grip feels different sections on the barrel. So you can still do the reviews without the throw or even with your left hand! Anyway, thank you for all these reviews in the past and best of luck in the future!

I had the same feeling when a guy who does a paranormal podcast died recently, The Unexplained with Howard Hughes, loved listening to him, I was so sad to find out he died and that feeling of never been able to hear him make a new show was very empty and hard to bear, he was such a great broadcaster its just not the same listening to others, not that I compare what I do to his level but that feeling of not having something you are used to is a bit hard to swallow, but such is life and we have to continue :)

Hi Darren, I‘m now 19 years old and startet playing darts when I was about 11. I started watching your chanel shortly after. I got quite a big collection at home and before buying a dart I always looked up if you already did a review (and yes most of the time that was the case😂). Hi Darren, I don’t comment much but tune into the videos a lot. In terms of quitting the videos, it’s totally up to you ultimately but I’d just like to say that I think most people would be more than happy still seeing an unboxing of the darts and showing the close ups of them along with the dimensions etc. It’s of course up to you but the throwing segment it’s vital to the channel continuing in my opinion. Thanks mate! I can just about cope ok with the hand problem, its more the elbow thats the painful part, the hand does not hurt as much its just a bit stiff to open easily at times which is a bit iffy for the release but doing everyday things the elbow will ache a lot and I think its always aggravated more because of throwing darts. But I wont give up easily, will keep trying to find a solution, maybe I just might have to throw less or not at all with the right and keep trying to improve my left. Glad to know your dad has got better though! Cheers! :)

I had tendon release srgery on my elbow 17 yrs ago...best thing i have ever done...i was 4 yrs with no use of my right arm and after a yr and a bit of rehad after surgery i am good as new ask your Dr Darren...love your vid's

@@DartsReviewChannel everything from the outside of my elbow tore off the bone while throwing a baseball, I was misdiagnosed and treated for 4.5 yrs for tendonitis until I pushed the matter and saw a second surgeon. He imediately knew what the issue was...the tendon reatached in the wrong place and I actually had gangrene that matastasised. They told me it could be a yr for recovery and it actually was a very long yr and a half...but it was a major injury and the result was much better than they said best case scenario would be...so it's been trouble free for 17 yrs or more now

Hey Darren. Please don’t stop the reviews. I’ll tune in for the close look and the tech specs. No need to throw them if you can’t. Just let us know how they feel and what grip you think they might be suited for. That alone will help a lot of people that don’t have easy access to a dart shop where they can try them out. I bought the Shot Celt Toranos in 24g after your review and as a rear gripper, they were definitely the right choice. Thanks for the great reviews as always!!

I feel your pain mate. I've literally just started playing darts, I'm playing with a partially fused ankle. Thankfully, it's not my leading leg, but I'm definitely going to be getting the other side fused. Hope you can continue as darts is fantastic fun.

Awww sorry to hear that! I badly injured my shoulder in 2009 and could not throw for around 18 months, that was torture but then I broke my right hand and had RSI in my wrist and I think its likely something to do with one or all those problems because each time I had to work ways to throw without causing myself too much pain, but I cant see to lick this elbow problem, its just frustrating really. But as you darts is so much fun and addictive its hard to give up but its starting to be painful doing everyday things now which is not fun. Hope you stay well and keep playing though! :)

@DartsReviewChannel Yeah, unfortunately, all muscles and joints work in unison. Injuring one has a knock on affect on the others. I broke my entire left leg in late 2020. It took 3 and a half years to get back on my feet. My ankle will only get worse, so it's best that I get it fused now rather than deal with the pain and STILL having to get my ankle fused at a later date.

I understand what you mean, hope it goes well, I knew a guy who had some spinal fusion, he lost some motion and kind of walked like he was carrying rolled up carpets but for him it was far better than the pain he was in previously. I guess we just have to do whatever the best thing is to make life as comfortable as possible. 👍

Your the best on KZbin Darren. You don’t need to throw the darts,I enjoy seeing the darts up close etc.Just love seeing new darts and enjoy hearing what you think. So I had elbow issues 12 years ago, half a dozen cortisone injections, even tried a (what was a new) procedure (PRP) where they inject your plasma. They didn't take and I had an operation on the tendons and back to 100% again. Thanks for the reviews!

Someone else told me about prp but I think it is only available in a few private clinics in the country and not cheap from what I seen. Maybe I need some surgery too, I don't know. hey darren. I work as a tennis pro and play darts as my hobby in the us. have had your exact elbow issues for about two years now. there will be ups and downs with it. high protein is good, flexibility training, along with strength for those particular tendons will be essential along with rest when possible. sometimes it will for sure get you down but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I wear a similar brace for the elbow as you do but fortunately it is more for preventative measures than anything else right now. good luck and we hope you continue cause these reviews have always been top drawer. all the best.

Thanks mate, I started the carnivore diet about 10 weeks ago so getting plenty of protein and it's helped with a few things but the elbow trouble has been around for 15 months now. I have probably not helped by not giving it a prolonged rest, it's hard to resist throwing so it's my own fault if I have made it worse. I will keep trying things to fix it though 👍😊💚

The Darts Referee switched arms due to dartitus and is almost as good as he was with his right now after a year of effort. Would hate to see the channel end. Most detailed reviews out there.

Thanks mate! Yeah I think Jack has done an amazing job with his left, I think he did throw left some years ago though but he has put in a lot of work and done well. I think Dan from Straight To The Point darts was also a right hander that switched to left too and he is a really good player with his left, so I know it can be done. Maybe its a bit early yet but I just dont feel it properly throwing left, hard to describe, its like I am not in control of my arm but I kind of know the motion needed lol

Mate, it‘s really sad to see you suffer from the elbow and not being able to do what you quite obviously love to do😕 I hope it gets better, and I hope you‘ll keep the channel up - speaking for me specifically, reviews without long term testing or any throwing at all would be great, too, just the specs/stats, rating of the grip, general impressions of the darts etc. Everyone has a different throw. No this is not the last one, but this year may be last year, I maybe did not make that very clear in the video if that is what people are thinking, sorry if I have confused people though :) I will carry on for this next year, I already have about 15 reviews completed on my PC waiting to be edited so in the meant time I can have a small break from throwing. Truly hope you get to feeling better. Itll be a shame for the community to lose what you contribute, but your own health and happiness have to come first! Pain that interferes with something you love... is really difficult, esp mentally. Ive had issues with my hands going stone numb while playing guitar. Ive played music my whole life, am fairly accompmished with stringed instruments... when the hands mess up and go numb its not just painful, but extremely disheartening. Wishing you all the best!

I would miss your channel, but I understand your reasons very well. Maybe I should have waited upgrading my darts til you came out with this list! I got the Target Bradley Brooks gen1 btw, fits me quite wel especially after I fitted medium stems. Great list. I promised myself not to start collecting darts, but some of those look quite tempting, not in the least that nr.1.

Will have to see how the year goes, I will do want I can to get my elbow better but I dont have much hope for it and the fibrous lump in my hand I also have on both feet now too so it can be a bit painful standing at the oche. I think the ones in my feet may settle down after a while and hopefully wont get as bad as it can for some people, fingers crossed. But its hard not to collect darts, we often do it without even knowing we are doing it, before you know it you have 20, 40, 60, 100+ it can get addictive very quickly lol :)
