Sub bass frequencies aren't that bad for your hearing (even in extreme cases like this). What kills your hearing is high frequencies at high volume.

this is on my bucket list of experiences. i know bass is way less potent at causing hearing damage than highs, but gotta ask, were your ears ringing afterwards

​@vinylcabasse your ears will only ring like that if exposed to super tweeters for an extended period of time. Not from the bass. High frequencies kill our ears in long durations.
