Best Day!! Jeep Hard Top and Seat Covers

This is one of my favorite days of the year. The hard top is coming off the Jeep for the summer. This is a 2 piece hard top from Steel Horse. I believe they went out of business a while ago, but this 2 piece hard top for my 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ works well. As you will see in the video, there's a few repairs I need to make.

I always look forward to the top coming off as well. Hard for me to get helps lifting it off so I made a hoist in my garage so I just back up under it and winch it up. Thanks for the videos.

Ayyyy i have the same hardtop! I think it’s cool that it’s a 2 piece. But it is true it does leak in the rain. But still pretty cool hardtop

Do you know where I could find the four latches on the inside of the top to the tub rails? I have the same top here, but it’s missing those latches

Great video as usual... Just a thought here....I'm thinking, if you can, maybe replacing the wood with aluminum... Diggin' the seat covers... I ended up replacing my seats, all around. I goofed though and didn't get high backs...and purposely elected not to get reclining ones, which I regret. So in a few years...and some penny saving, I'll replace my front seats with some nice high back , 5 point harness, reclining Caribou seats. I ended up taking the rear seat out... my kiddos don't ride with me anymore :(... On the bright side though...I have room now for a compressor and an off-raod tool box... Unfortunately, we never really get to celebrate the top removal...cuz it's always off... Unless we're fixin' to get a tropical storm or hurricane, the top stays off...

I have that exact same top, but I'm missing the metal key that secures the Targa top on the front, do you know what thickness those metal nubs are I wpuld like to get some metal and cut to length

Instead of replacing the wood on the hard top with red oak could you not use aluminium? Lighter and stronger.

That is another good option. The cedar I used was quick and easy for me, and did the job well. I'm happy with how it turned out.

Yeah, the rear seat cover came with the Jeep. Not sure where he got it???
