I actually studied this in sports medicine. Burficts hit destroyed his prefrontal cortex. The hit was actually made directly to that area of his head and that portion of the brain is responsible for decision making and cognitive behavior. And it’s actually the last part of the brain to develop and he barely reached the age of when the brain reaches full development. It essentially turned him from a rational and mature adult in to a 13 year old child. And what’s sad is that the NFL will never allow that information to be released because it would hurt the sport and their brand.

@@stashphl5348 I can see where you’re coming from with that. I remember watching a video of AB in like 2011 of him riding his bike to Steelers practice from his home in homestead to the practice facility in the Southside and loved that. Perhaps from our outside perspective as fans, yes, he was more quiet and to himself from say 2010-2015. But there were still reports of him verbally attacking Dick LeBeau at training camp in 2012, him only getting offered a scholarship to Central Michigan, his scouting report listing him as a “diva”, his step father stating in an interview with USA Today that AB was basically a problem since he was 12 years old, etc. It’s not always as it seems on the surface. I’m no neurologist but from what I understand CTE is caused by repeated blows to the head. We can’t say for certain that this one blow was the tipping point, despite everyone seeming to run with that.

4:30- Kaep with another great clutch throw, trying to force it to Crabtree when everyone knew he was going to do that. Cost the 49ers a trip to the SB that year, and the SB itself the next year.

The man was a competitor and one of the best to do it in his prime. Sherman didn’t lose that game. Management being afraid of Lynch winning the SB MVP lost it. His game saving tipped pass against the 49ers is also how he’ll be remembered.

Man, Sherman was a punk. Yeah, way to trash talk Joe Webb. He converted to WR after being a backup QB for 3 years. The mighty QB's for the Vikings that game were Matt Cassel and Christian Ponder. The Vikings were 2-8 after that game. Bravo Richard.

I love when DB's blow a play and then act like they did something. It's the best when a QB misses a wide open receiver while they are more than five yards away and they celebrate like it was because of their coverage.
