Downside is that Vtoman is slow recharge limited to 200 watts. If you need faster charging with many solar panels this unit cannot accept more than 200 watts. Otherwise great unit have small 600 watt and 1800..

Hey Gray I'm so glad to see you're back I hope you're back steady now and I hope you got everything squared away like you want it. I have been looking at the vtoman and I've been getting offers in my email from them but going through you is much cheaper honestly than the offers they're making. I'm sorry I didn't know you were going to do this on this particular generator or I would have gotten the prices they are showing to compare to yours. But you probably see the same thing I did so you're right you have an excellent discount. I was considering buying one of these and I'm so glad that you demonstrated it but I would love to see it demonstrated a little more in-depth on things like your refrigerator or, I have a stand-up freezer actually two of them I only use one, freezer and whatever else you would like to demonstrate but yes please do another video and as soon as you can actually I'd hate rushing you. If the grid will hold together long enough at least until the first of February I'm possibly going to buy one. So thank you so much for this video gray man I certainly do appreciate it. Thanks again for the video and always remember to stay vigilant! May God bless.

Hey Terry, yep things are moving along nicely. I hope to be full steam ahead after all the holidays. I used to do more of the detailed reviews and some folks asked to shorten them, So I decided to play with that option in this one, but moving forward I'll probably stick with the more detailed reviews of the units. Thanks for watching brother. 🤘 Have a safe New year 🥳🙏

Expansion batteries never make sense when you can buy nearly 1kwh of scooter batteries for $175 and hook them up to the solar input. Only downside is if the solar input is rather low (200 watts on a 1000wh power station) then you're kinda bottlenecked. But if you have the ability to input 500W of DC power through the solar input you could realistically input 400W an hour with some scooter packs paralleled up to feed the solar input at the max amperage. Scooter batteries I'm thinking of are available at Jag35 and BCH but cheaper at BCH. 10S2P Eve 25V 2.55Ah cells, max discharge rate of 7A. I think its 189wh per pack. I'd parallel 4 of them so I could run them at >15A without stressing them too hard. Eve cells are pretty solid so I'd expect 500-1000 cycles depending how hard you discharge them. Keep them at 3.0 to 4.0 and you got 1,000 cycles all day. Next option is building a 24V LiFeP04 battery using A123 26650 cells. I can get 96 of them for 90 bucks, thats 892wh. A little bulky but if you take the 96 cell 36V pack and cut off a third of it you keep that as a 12V boost pack and the other two thirds as. your 8S 24V pack for charging your power station. These A123 cells are stupid powerful. 4 of them in series can start a small car. 4S2P can start a truck. Pretty much on the same level as the Headway 38120 but the cells are 2.5Ah. The 12V pack will fit perfectly in a 30 cal ammo can, I'm building one to use as a jump pack and putting a 70W COB LED on the can to also be a camp light or roadside "light up the world" sun.

I did not factor a pair of panels in, because they didn't send me any for the review. But just went to check so without any discounts the costs for 2 solar panels, the power station, and the extra battery would normally be about $2500 currently with discounts when I added them to my cart it came out with tax to $1754.76 my apologies in advance for not discussing that in the video.

My first order was for the Jump 1000. After letting the FACT that the maximum charge rate is ONLY 200 watts sink in, it was returned - un-opened. I'm two days away from receiving my Pecron E2000-LFP. The Jump does have a decent battery capacity, but, with a continuous maximum wattage of 1000 Watts combined with a 7-8 hour charge time, the Pecron made more sense to me. For the occasional user the Jump will work fine, but, with needing a shorter charge time to have power to keep the refer running overnight, (while the gas generator is not being used), during a hurricane induced outage, the shorter charge time AND a maximum continuous power of 2000 Watts will be better suited for my use....

@GreyManPrepping
@GreyManPrepping Жыл бұрын
🤣 Well most of these units per there specifications state a cycle is going from 100% to O% so if I look at it from that information, the unit being plugged as UPS and not discharging it would last beyond that expected life efficiency of 3100 cycles before you're at 80%
