I hunt ALONE too 90% of the time, it's a lot of work..... but, to be honest, I like my solo hunts best. Everyone else always wants to leave early, quit, etcetera.... it's too much work to quit just because the birds stop flying for 20 minutes. I could sit and watch the duck show all day by myself !!

At 36:32 I stopped this video to say I started a KZbin channel + I felt certain videos I made weren't up to quality and started to lose my interest in video when hunts or fishing trips because I wasn't enjoying the trip as much. I appreciate your honesty! I hunt solo allot. It is allot work, but I really enjoy it. It’s hard to find guys that are reliable and won’t go behind your back and hunt the spots that you take them too. I quit drinking over 7 years ago cold turkey. It definitely wasn’t easy, but it’s way worth it. Enjoy being a dad. I wish my older daughters would go with me.

I just started getting into hunting this year and my wife and I just had our first child a week ago. Every baby is different, but for us the 1st night home was crazy, but he is settling into a good sleeping schedule! I even got to go deer hunting yesterday morning. Best wishes and love the videos!

We all struggle in some way. I cope with mine by going hunting or fishing. I enjoy Solo hunts they are fun but having good guys around you to enjoy it with definitely makes it better. If you ever just need to change a pace or want to just hunt with a different group of guys, you're more than welcome to hunt with us. We hunt around the KC area. Last thing is enjoy being a father there is nothing better than when you get to show your kids the things you love to do and then watch them enjoy it. Have a great rest of the season

Smoked cannabis for 14yrs straight and cigs packed them both in the day my son was born 17yrs ago and i can honestly say it was one of the toughest things i have ever done and i'm glad i did , you have to be in the mood to hunt to enjoy it properly ...oh and that stick in the middle of your hide was doing you no favours clear the shooting area so you can swing left and right ..and if you think that canvas back was testing fatherhoods gonna blow your mind 😂goodluck ☘️🇮🇪

Know the feeling. My old Browning auto got worn out and I repaired the worn parts with spot welds, One day miles out on the marsh it refused to fire after the few shots. So I took it apart and laid all the screws and bits on a grond sheet. I eventualy found a piece of shell in the trigger mechanism. Putting it back together in time for the rising tide flight, and got a few more wigeon. I have now got a new A4 and never looked back.

To set up effectively, start by bringing a long-handled shovel to dig out your positions. Choose a spot on the bank about 6 to 8 feet from the water’s edge and dig a trench about 1 foot deep to fit your layout blind. Next, dig a similar trench for a dog blind on the non-dominant shooting side, positioning it slightly farther back to keep your dog, like Kora, hidden and out of your line of sight and shooting lanes. Once the trenches are ready, use logs, sticks, rocks, or short grass to break up the outline of both blinds and help them blend into the surroundings. Position your blinds close to the shore but far enough back to stay above the natural water level, keeping everything dry. To further enhance concealment, scatter a few full-body or sleeper decoys around and behind your position to create the appearance of a resting area for ducks. While this setup may require adjusting to a harder shooting position due to its low profile, it will significantly improve your concealment from the ducks’ perspective and increase your chances of success.

Please don’t sideline Korra from duck hunting. You are her world and she seems very driven, hence the anxiety. The whining will get better with age. With all the work she has done to become a great bird dog (yes she’s great if a bit whiny), and how young she still is don’t give up on her. You’ll notice changes in her behavior if you give up taking her hunting. There’s is nothing sadder than seeing a bird dog with no purpose.

I also cold turkied the nicotine. I dipped from 13-27. Only nicotine pouches the last few years. The first two months I ate everything in sight 😂, put on quite a few lbs but I’m saving a lot of money. I have an addiction to marijuana that is much harder for me to kick and when I have issues with it I beat myself up pretty bad afterwords. I have same M2 in 20 ga and it also wouldn't cycle like yours. It isn't even two seasons old! I replaced the spring with Wolff 25% extra power and gun shoots better than ever. Best $20 ever spent.

I hunt alone 95%, am a father of a young daughter and husband to a beautiful wife, work 60 hrs a week hard labor, hunt 6 days a week, kill 150 ducks and a buck with the bow per year. How you ask? Weed and zyns brotha 😂 my doctor said there is zero negative effects to using nicotine. Only the method of delivery (smoking or dipping) so zyns or patches don’t hurt a thing
