I played this guy last night online and he used shotgun Bunch wk on me the whole game. I literally tried everything I'm not a terrible Madden player or the best Madden player I think I'm pretty good though but I could not stop him it was quite ridiculous!

The only way a person can really learn to play defense on Madden is to know what Cover 0,Cover 1,Cover 2,Cover 3, and Cover 4 implies when used. Also knowing the weaknesses of each defense. I suggest read a book about defense. All the glitches do is take your men off their assignment. If you don't understand quarterback lanes then you'll have a hard time getting rid of the ball to the right receiver also on offense.

I don't know why, but this defense doesn't work at all. The soft squat zones get blown every play. The game forces the corners to go up field and not stay in the flats

Hey I've been blowing some big passes, trying to figure out if game play has changed or if I'm just blowing these. Lets say if Im playing as DL or LB, once the QB has thrown the ball and I want to switch to the DB that its being throw on; can you just hold down Y whenever the ball becomes playable, or do I still need to hit B to switch to the nearest defender and then hold Y? I've been hitting B and then Y and Ive just noticed I'm not getting nearly as many interceptions and Im blowing big passes, sometimes feels like its stopping my defenders.

I run cover 2 sink and sometimes one of corners don't go back on the vertical routes even though no flat is coming towards him. That's why I really got irritated with this defense guys were not playing that they were supposed to.

Saul Leon I used to run commit, and I just stopped with that unless it's in the end zone and I give cushion so that if it's a pass, they're still in the play. But anyways, just be prepared for both if there's a running back. I usually pass commit almost every play, because if it's a pass, they'll go for the QB. If it's a run, they'll go for the RB, I've never seen them get the wrong guy if I pass commit. They still could though, maybe if it's a shovel option, but no one runs that. You could also just man up a DE, or a LB at DE, to a RB. They're already going for whoever has the ball, so it won't mess up where they're going to be, and if a RB is on a route, it'll at least be a little covered.

2and2is5 It's not the cover that matters, it's mainly the pre set soft squats. That way you can adjust other things and not have to worry about check downs.

Click y on Xbox twice then a menu opens where you can individually select any secondary player, then selct the one you want then a menu pops up that lets you select what coverage you want to change to, push the right analog stick up to,man up then a menu pops up with all of the opponents players except lineman and you can man whichever one you select.

Pedro Lopez hit that circle button homie. Until your player selector is on the player you want to motion (player selector is the circle that is always under the quarterback unless you move it) Then, when you are on the player you want to motion, use the left stick to move the player left or right depending on the way you want to motion him.
