Best Defensive Bullet? 124gr Federal HST

Dont Skip the Gold-Dot Lawmans 124GR, I hear good things about the Gold-Dot G2 147Gr, Winchester SXT(Black Talon "Same eXact Thing) Hornaday 135Gr Critical Duty and i hear good things about the Sig Elite.... would like to see these newer "EFMJ" tested too

I use the 147 HST and 147 Ranger T-Series for ARs. Too slow (in my opinion) from a handgun (including my G34). An 8”~16" barrel lets them stretch and get to their potential. That said, they are deep penetrators (because the barely expand) from 3"~4.5" barrels, though with added weight for carry consideration and extra recoil. Nice presentation.

I have used the 147 hst in short barrel 9mms and they do expand but like you said, not to their potential. I would love to use them in an AR. I have some ranger ts loaded up haven't tested them much yet.

@@highcountryadventures9606 The 147 Ranger Ts are amazing from a 16" Ruger carbine I got on trade. They're more than adequate from a 10" AR. I stick them in a 32rd Colt style mag or 33rd Glock mag as I have ARs that use both.
