This looks great and inexpensive, thanks for sharing! Did you consider using a macro rail for fine tuning focal distance or just measure once is enough?

@jjwhtn In the olden times when I was selling film cameras the rail would have been the answer, but they are expensive, hard to find, and if you're using a fixed focal length lens, there's only 1 ideal distance. Also, my original setup used an extension tube with an ordinary lens. The lens was not flat field with that, and my results were out of focus on the edges.
