Dude you actually have great production quality. I'm surprised you don't have more followers

Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback. I think part of it is because I’m not consistent with how often I can put out videos so KZbin stops recommending them if I get too busy with work.

Best video yet, was going to have this done to my truck. Now I can do it myself and use the money to buy other things for it 😂 my truck also thanks you both. 🙏🙏🙏

I highly recommend giving it a shot. It really was easy to apply. My recommendation is to put all the work in during the prep. It’s important to get everything off the paint before you apply. With everything we purchased… “bug and tar remover, soap for the wash, and the alcohol” it was still right at $100 with the kit. You can’t even have someone wax your truck for that price. Like I said the video and pictures don’t do it justice. The paint looks wet. So far this is some pretty amazing stuff. Thanks for watching

I have this on my list... prep is always key for coatings. Great video!

Thanks… Prep work is always the worst part. It’s 100% worth it. It’s really like a half day of work to get it all done but in my opinion its worth it to do it ourselves and save that money for buying more truck parts. Haha

Thank you for bringing this up. I am getting 255/75r17 mud terrain tires put on wed. Walmart refused to put on their tires on my truck so now i am having to go to 4wp. I will be getting the lights installed next. Thanks for everything i love your channel. I have been thinking about putting on peak suspension lift kit any advise on that?
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
I always find out words that companies refuse to put on a customers requested tire size. I feel off the customer wants it then they should do it. However if you don’t like it then you should have to pay to mount a different set. I appreciate the feedback on the channel. Peak has a variety of suspension setups. If you’re just looking for height then stay with a cheaper kit. If you’re wanting to off-road a lot and articulate the suspension then bump up to control arms. If you need to replace the dssv then jump into the kings. Or look into bds. They have great kits as well if you’re getting into the upper price range.

nice video. my mechanic did his camero and ss...5 years ago. still amazing. his stuff is way more expensive. i'm almost thinking of a clear 3mm wrap. there even a 10mm wrap but i'm afraid to ask the cost.
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
I’ve recently talked to a few people that are paying like 3k for a 3mm wrap. That’s really expensive I think. I would rather pay a few hundred for materials and do it myself. Fortunately we don’t have to worry about wrapping because the color truck we have won’t really work with many wraps… you would open the door to find the orange door jams lol 😆

How are you liking your tires? My stock duratracs are pretty beat up and I am in the market for some new rubber.
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
We love the tires. We’ve put them to the test a few times and they work great in the mud. However, that being said… They‘re more aggressive than the stock tires so there is a little more road noise. We have exhaust on our and always have the radio on so it doesn’t bother us. I know some people are sensitive to the sound in their ride. The tires are holding up great and are showing no signs of early wear.

@@DustinFaddis Thanks for the feedback. After watching your tire video I am thinking I am going to snag these tires at the size you did. I am ordering the Zone 1.25 leveling spacer today.
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
@@MountainHobbler we’re definitely happy with the tires. I’m glad we went with this size. I like a good wide tire but I can’t stand the rock chips all down the side of a new truck.

Just so everyone’s tracking. A ceramic coat will not last the life of your vehicle. Unless you total it after only having it a year or two. It’s just supposed to be a better solution than waxing. It will protect better and last longer. I’ll do a few updates about how good it holds up.
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
What do you use to protect your truck? Is it worth your time and do it yourself or do you pay to have it maintained?

Jescar power lock plus
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard some decent things about jescar but… from what I heard it’s just a high end wax. It still only lasts 4-6 months which is better than your average wax. We decided to try the ceramic coating because they’re supposed to last 2-5 years. With all of the same prep work required for both… we wanted to try something that would last longer. Thanks for watching Ray.

@@DustinFaddis do monthly updates as to when the hydrophobic start to go away tried the whole Coatings deal not impressed with jescar twice a year and that's it the whole never wax again is bs
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
@@rayingram4458 the whole never wax again statement was covered in the description. I was basing that off of the average vehicle ownership is 3-4 years and they claim ceramic coatings last from 2-5 years. I guess I’ll have to pin a comment explaining that better. Nothing works forever. I’m going to do some follow up videos and test how long it actually works. Using wax, I only get 3 months tops. If I can squeeze out a year with this I’d still be happy. Even if it was 6 months, it would be the better buy.
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
@@rayingram4458 I really hope that it holds up better than a standard wax. I guess only time will tell. 😆

Ceramic coating is just a gimmick the auto industry uses to get your money . Modern paint and clear coat I’d to slick and the particles are very tight for anything to sink into . If you say any detailed that is honest they will tell you not to wast your money ……..
@DustinFaddis2 жыл бұрын
I know plenty of professional detailers that recommended it. The problem is that it’s expensive. If a detailer doesn’t recommend it…. It could be that they want you back in more often. I’ve noticed that it’s easier to wash the dirt off daily. Just a quick rinse and you’re good. It is a gimmick from a dealership though. Once I paid $1,800 and watched them spend 30 minutes spraying then wiping my car off. They called it ceramic coating but it definitely wasn’t
