Facing this issue right now. Just saw one all the way on the third floor ceiling! Where around the inside of your house did you spray? I am wondering if I need to spray the ceiling as well or walls as that where I usually spot them.

@@kayl2307 No need to spray the ceiling. Just spray around the edges on the bottom of the walls and any cracks you see on the floors. that will repel them. They live in the floors, so if your floors has lots of cracks in them, target those areas as well.

House centipedes are not pests! They are the opposite! They will eat other bugs in your house and then leave when it's empty. They're creepy, but they are your friends!

I really wanted to stay away from that kind of stuff so I started with my own recipes of peppermint oils, lemon, alcohol, lavender, etc concoction mixtures. It helped at first especially with small spiders but the big gnarly ones came right back. I had so many huge webs type nests around gutters, under the eaves, and window corners. Gross! I'm going to have to bring out the big guns.

Honestly I have no idea what this guy is talking about. My brother and I each tackled the outside and inside of my dads lake house and his boat dock with each of us having a one gallon wand sprayer. We hit it early summer. After just over an hour and being extremely thurough we never saw another spider the entire summer and fall. I have never felt more comfortable keeping a window open while living on the lake. After we watched all the current spider residence die, we saw the rafters and under the awnings and under the porches and door areas clear up and never saw anything inside either. Even used it on the door panels of my truck. I been using this stuff for years and I swear but it with this testimonial. My dad is located just east of Columbus,OH so we get about as much rain as we do sun.

I used it on my exterior foundation twice a year in spring and then fall. Works great for year-round control this way. Also here's a tip. Dont waste money on the one with the stupid spray nozzle. Just buy the 1.33 gal refill jug. Its cheaper, and then apply it with any pump-up garden sprayer. You can apply it easier, faster, and with more control this way since you have a long wand.

I’ve used Ortho for the last 20 years on my homes and it kills on contact but doesn’t protect very long. I just tried Raid around my home expecting better and 3 days later bugs are crawling around the surface I sprayed on. So yes Ortho is better than raid. I guess nothing works for very long and they love false advertising which you would think can’t be allowed but it is.

Ok look as an exterminator myself yes we use bifenthrin which is the active ingredient in Ortho home defense but we have a concentrated version that is freshly mixed right before a service this premixed crap sits in a warehouse to get sent out on trucks to then get to your local hardware store to then be bought by you also we typically use more than a gallon for a normal inside/outside treatment and the wand it comes with does not put out a lot of product not does it do it in a good pattern for good coverage so here is a top go buy 20 bucks worth of bifen concentrate a 20 dollar plastic pump sprayer and that's the best cheapest pest control you can get you'll easily have 32 gallons of insecticide to mix that'll last you months of spraying I also recommend mixing up the products you use don't just use bifen another good product would be lambda cyhalothrin commonly sold as demand cs it's a lot more than bifen but everybody and their mom uses bifen so insects are getting used to it so switch it up for really good control you can also get bifen in granular form and buy a spreader and spread it throughout your lawn then just water the granular in and your good to go

It says it works with brown recluse, but those things are really resilient to sprays. I live in southern Oklahoma and deal with Brown Recluse (fiddleback) spiders all the time in the spring/summer. I know they like eating dead bugs, so this would keep those bugs away and will in return help keep the spiders away. I'm going to give it a try and see if it works. I want to spray outside and inside, because I have this weird feeling that all the Brown Recluses are not just coming from outside, but made their homes inside the walls, baseboards and stuff. It's really annoying and thankfully to this day I haven't been bit, but I was sitting here at my PC and one just walked straight up my wall to my left. Also knowing that the Brown Recluse hibernates and could live upwards to 2 years even without available food or water... That's just hellish in my opinion ... Anyway, probably going to try this stuff out and see how it does.

You can use indoors. Allow it to dry after you put it in. It creates a barrier so spray around doorways and at entrances. Dries fairly quickly.

Yup you save a lot too bifen it and Ortho home defense actually have the same active ingredient bifenthrin so they kind of the same but with concentrate you get freshly mixed pesticide that hasn't gone bad while on store shelves like can happen with Ortho and other similar premixed insecticide and Taurus is the gold standard for things like ants I love it just remember it's only labeled for outside use but ya doing your pest control is great and affordable just do your research and follow laws

Its not a contact killer. The product is set up to attack the nervous system which kills the insect after about 2 hours or so after coming in contact with it. This stuff definitely does not last for a year as that would be some very toxic stuff. Even the stuff the pro's get can last up to 90 days under perfect circumstances.

@@sweetgal3575 it's a good powder and it's safe for animals and humans! You have make sure that you clean well and remove anything that you do not wish to lay the powder on. And then put it down and leave it down for a while. You'll start seeing the results within 2 days. Faster depending on how much you use. This powder really did help me. I also used a plastic covering to shield all my items that I didn't want the powder to ruin or touch. Including my mattress. It really works! I promise you. You'll be happy that you got it. I know I am. And it works to kill lots of bugs. It's amazing!
