The reason to buy this is that its designed/perfected and specialized by the owners of the company. It may not be the best look or allow me to carry my dog exactly as I want, but the deciding factor (After 2 backpack type packs that both failed leading to my dog falling out) is safety and this pack appears to be well thought out and uses quality material. For that i'll accept the short comings and pay 5 or 10x the price of the others. The cheap mass turned out junk packs made in china are not worth the risk for my dog. Especially sense I ride my dog on my ebike and motorcycle.

I'm just planning to buy a K9 Sport backpack carrier and wonder how comfortable it is for the dogs, especially for the back legs. My dog is 13 years old (greyhound) with 50lb.

Hi there! Hmm. My issue with this is they got way too hot. I'm wondering if they updated it since then. But it's a huge pack and they can just lay on your back with a platform.

Try the Kurgo G Train dog backpack. Much more comfortable for the dog. Also hot tho

@@EverydayChris , nice! I prefer it , the dog can change position for comfort. My little guy is 13 pounds and on the longer side. K9sportsack Knavigate and all the models keeps the dog in a sitting /begging position which I'm not a fan of. Short trips 30 min or less . Any longer I can't imagine it being good for their spines.. Kurgo gets hot. I put little battery/usb charge type fan in the side pockets. Head opening is kinda big. If dog is not harnessed in, can jump out. Hope this helps. Take care
