This is outdated. Why Sony 1st? Q990C from Samsung was released not long ago. Era 300 from Sonos, etc. My options would be 1. Bose 900 or 600 2. Sonos, Sub Gen 3 + Era300 3. Sennheiser Ameo plus and Sub 4. Samsung Q990C and the rest.. 😉

The Sony A 7000 is a great match for our Sony television.

It’s a great Sound-bar. However, o only have a 55” sony tv, and the Sound-bar is longer in width. Aesthetically it doesn’t look right 😂.

I think all of these soundbars work best with a sub(s) and rear surrounds to take full advantage of Atmos and spatial audio. Too many factors that can change the Atmos quality with just one front firing soundbar.

(EDIT: The device has been repaired) .... previous comment: When the rear speakers connect to the Soundbar via Bluetooth, those systems are half a second behind in lip sync. And on the TV (LG OLED), it's not possible to set a picture delay. It's a joke.

@@hallernorbi I think some Era 300 owners have Apple TV and use airplay without sync issues? Not sure if there is a way to use airplay instead of bluetooth if you don't have a Arc/Beam soundbar with the Era 300.

I have the 990b and it’s been great. I’ve had ZERO speaker dropouts. It’s not the greatest for music. Movies and tv is where this thing shines. The voice amplifier is incredible for ppl who need it. Pair this with a Q tv and it sounds even better.

@@abhishekab1 Q-Symphony Samsung tvs use the tv speakers intergrated with the sound bar. With movies and tv it really helps the overall quality.

I just got a sub mini to pair with my arc today that I’m pretty excited to setup and see how it improves things. I dream of having a true home theater system with Atmos, but for now these soundbars do great for apartment dwellers 😁

The Sony is my choice. Very good audio, 4k 120 hz hdmi support and easily augmented if you want to add rears or a sub. The sonos arc was good. the samsung has no 4k 120.

update! it lasted 5 days. powered up, but would not emit any sound. Unplugged it, waited 10 mins, plugged it back in, same result. Back it went. At 999, it MUST be trouble free and reliable. It also glitched every now and then w the PS5 into my Sony A95 TV. Pretty disappointed.

I think the idea was to stay within a reasonable price range for the average or slightly above average consumer. That bars like 4500 which is double what even the most expensive bars are on this list.

I can assured you that that sound bar can trash all the sounds bars. 4 subwoofer drivers in isobaric configuration....and.....they are the only company that has the real dolby atmos DTX Pro. All the other version of dolby atmos in the sounds bars are inferior to this version. Is absolutely remarkable what they did. They obtained the non comercial version of folby atmos from dolby labs after years of begging for it. Nakamichi Dragon....go big...or go home!!

I am pretty sure Sony paid him to put them first. Samsung has 22 Drivers and a Sub. Will definitely perform better than just a Single Sony soundbar. Atleast for movies. He read out all the formats that work with sony as if reading from a transcript they sent him. He did not do the same for any other systems. 😂

I think it's fantastic. I have it paired with a 77" A80K for the center channel. A dedicated sub would obviously make it incredible for the low end, but I'm thoroughly blown away by this sound bar!

I don't knpw about the Sony being better than the Samsung, a lot of other reviews put the Samsung at number one and with all due respect to Sony, it's kind of disingenuous to put a sound bar without a sepetate subwoofer, ahead of a sound bar with an included subwoofer and there's no way one without the sub, would be better. However, are we forgetting about the Natsumishi Dragon? This is a recent video and the Dragon's been out for a while now and sorry but the Dragon's in a league of it's own just like the previous Nakamuchi Dragon products. It would be completely accurate to say that the Dragon, is closer to actual cinema sound systems than sound bar systems. If you do a top five, it would be a good idea to include... the actual top five.

See this list is flawed. Because if you’re going to include the Samsung 990 or Sony 7000 series that both have rears you should include the Sonos setup with era300’s and a sub. Because at that point neither compare to the Sonos.

_DTS is way better than Dolby Atmos in my opinion, with a higher bid rate, and better clarity on the surround channels, with full detail and separation_
