If you are ever visiting Chengdu, I highly recommend the dumplings! Good dumplings, but the chilli oil is the star of the show; so fragrant with fresh herbs/spice mix with that numbing Sichuan peppercorn. Literally, the best sauce I've ever tasted anywhere! I could put that stuff on everything (except dessert, that would be weird)

I’m from Fuzhou and those wontons are actually how they are made back home. In Fuzhou, the skin is made from meat (pounded super super thin and then wrapped around more meat. I went to that place in New York and can say it is extremely authentic, tasted just like home!

oh yeah, let me recommend a soup dumpling place in flushing too, it’s called nan xiang. It’s close to the second place in the j mart food court. I’m pretty sure u just walk up a bit more and make a left and you’ll see it. It usually has a big line during the weekend so u bet it’s really good

Mikey, I just went to Kung Fu with my wife and you're right, the soup dumplings are the best anywhere. We had the pork, crab and chocolate and the pork were better than the crab, but all three were good. I found their wonton in chili oil to be very "meh" as they were too peanuty and had no spiciness to them. The Dan Dan noodles were also meh. The noodles themselves, like the wontons were good, but the sauce wasn't at all spicy and had no strong umami flavor to it. I'm a fan of real Szechuan food and this wasn't it. That said, the service was very good and the place is nice. There's parking around and the soup dumplings were amazing.
