Kemp’s block on Jordan surprised me and wondering why this isn’t shown a lot and then the shot on Jordan. 🤣🤣🤣. Priceless. Hell even the great Jordan had to deal with athletic freak similar to him in Kemp. 🤣🤣. Appreciate those moments because they are rare.

I think Shawn Kemp was to one dimensional. Yes he could jump and dunk the ball. But what other moves did he have? He didn't back guys down in the post. He didn't have a good jump shot. He never won any MVP'S. He never won a title. Then after the NBA lockout and they played the last half the season. Kemp came back out of shape. And for a player whose game is predicated on his leaping ability. It was a wrap once he could no longer jump. I'll give Kemp his props for doing what he did. But I don't think he's a Hall Of Fame player.

Dude, Kemp had a deadly mid range jumpshot, could block, pass and handle the ball like a guard. And he was one hell of a defender too. Do some more research.

Why do you think he became just an avg NBA player after he gained weight? If he had this so called jump shot. His career would've lasted a little bit longer. Shawn Kemp was 95% athleticism. The weight gain took away his leaping ability and his athleticism. The same thing is going to happen to Westbrook. When his athleticism begins to fade. Westbrook is going to become just another NBA player. Why do you think he was nick name Reign Man? It was NOT because of his jump shot. You go look at any KZbin highlights of Shawn Kemp and what do you see? He's dunking, slashing to the basket, jumping up and blocking shots. Seattle down by one with 5 seconds on the clock. Who's getting the ball to hit the winning basket Gary Payton, Sam Perkins, Detlef Schrempf or Shawn Kemp?

@@edennard1 I can respect your opinion. I just never looked at Shawn Kemp as an all around dominant player. His NBA and KZbin highlights are of him dunking the ball. No last sec 3pt shots, no last sec game winning jump shots. To me his biggest asset was his leaping ability. Once that was gone ...

Kemp was a beast. They have put others in the HOF for less, gold medalist, 6 time all star 3 time all nba 2nd team his numbers slacked off after Cleveland, sure he was heavier but we seen more of his jump shot in Cleveland. Maybe one day they will put him in but he was one of the 90s best hands down
