For 1.20 and above: You can also use banner instead of sign at the front so that you can stand anywhere like before without having to worry about editing the sign.

Works like a charm. If you're having difficulties casting the rod just place a block above the upper chest while holding shift. Now you can just right click the block above the chest and it will cast the rod successfully every time.

PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE 1.21 To use this farm in 1.21, you have to crouch and look slightly above the back trapdoor. You cannot afk this farm on console. You can only afk if you are on pc with an auto clicker.

If you don’t want to automate the crouch process, you can also just use a slab in front of the lava instead of a full sized block and it puts you at the right height for the autoclicker to do it’s thing

two notes that worked for me: 1. you must cast above the chest slightly and have the trap door on the end flat on the ground. 2. items were not going into chest for me. so i just put the chest directly under the hopper instead of beside and now works. hope it helps

First fish farm I've ever made, and it works great! Thank you so much. I did, however, have to make one simple change. 1.20 and editable signs seems to have broken this. Clicking on the sign opens the edit sign feature. Clicking higher opens the chest or, disastrously, opens the rear trap door, leaving your fish to flop around until it dies. This can be solved by replacing the front sign on the chest with a banner. Don't ask me why a banner wouldn't burn up; but so would a sign, so fire logic doesn't apply in Minecraft. LOL

This tutorial was great. I just had to do different things on mobile as far as building. I use a rail on block above and to the side and pushed the cart in on top of the hopper after placing the sign then rebuilt around it.

I’ve got the same setup and everything but for some reason when I cast the rod and it gets a bite, it doesn’t make the catch on its own. Then I tried reeling in and made the catch myself and the item flew at me and I collected it. But for some reason this method isn’t working with auto collection from the hopper/Minecraft

Update: I figured out the issue. I didn’t know that the exact placement of your cursor effected this whole setup 😭 the hopper (I’ve never used one before) has a pipe at the bottom and that pipe will connect to the block/chest/etc that you’re pointing it at. When I placed it, I was looking at the block it would be on so it was connecting to that block and trying to store everything in the stone block underneath it. When I destroyed it all and redid the process, I pointed at the chest and saw the hopper’s pipe at the bottom make an L-shape to the chest. So for anyone like me who’s never tried the hopper before, hope that helps 😂😂😭😭

For Bedrock +1.20, Use a Banner for the front of the chest since you can edit signs with right click. If items are mostly burning in lava, Replace the minecart-Chest + rail with just another hopper and it should work as intended. Set an auto clicker with delay of about 14s without rod enchantments and delay of 7s with max rod enchantments.

Ok I'm playing on Xbox series s bedrock. I built this 3 times and it didn't work so I came back to the video and I noticed right as he cast the first time he crouches down. So I said "mf if I just had to crouch imma be pissed" Because I rebuilt it 3 freaking times.... Turns out you have to crouch in front and cast when your + is over the back trap door But it's working for me now after I crouch. You have to stay crouch while your using it though

This worked great! After a day of using this in my Hardcore World I had perfect enchantments on my bow, pickaxe, and Loyalty Trident! I was ready to go to the Nether… …Then tragedy struck. In the process of building an umbrella to keep the Phantoms off me, I backed into the lava part and died. Lost my Hardcore World I’ve been working on for a month now… I had full Diamond gear and everything. :( Although to be fair I did watch 2 villagers push each other into the lava pit a few hours beforehand, That should’ve been my first sign… Is there any way to make this design more safer? Something to cover the lava pit when not in use at least?

Place a slab at head height above the lava so you can still cast your rod while your standing still. For the phantoms simply build a cage so they can't get to you.

Does someone knows how much light i must put in my farms to get maximum crop growth? In java you just need a minimum amount of light , but i see people saying that in bedrock is different

After doing a little research, Bedrock and Java seem to function the same. Crops won't grow at all in light level 7 or below. Light level 9 and above is recommended for them to grow. Doesn't matter if it's sunlight or an illuminating block or torches/lanterns. As long as it's at least light level 9. I personally put illuminating blocks underneath the water block with a slab on the upper half of the water block on all my farms, and I've had no issues. It also works underground if you're more into the cave life. Hopefully this helps :) Edit: I also read somewhere that planting in alternate rows also speeds up the growing process but I've never done that myself.
