This is the best explanation of the difference between the two sensors - and I’ve watched a LOT of video reviews of this kind. Great job!👏

Great explanation! I know the difference but hard to explain to others. I’ll just link them to this video. Thanks.

Thank you so much Sir. Now i know the difference between these two types of sensors. I bought my first e-bike few much ago with cadense sensor but i don't even know what type of sensor it has.

Great review, Richard! You did a great job of explaining the difference between the two sensors and making it easy to understand, and hopefully, help folks decide which one is best for them.

It s really nice explanation to see the difference between cadence and torque sensors.

Nice explanation on the differences. Going forward in the industry I can the pleasure in having a bike that does both. The industry is changing and glad to be a rider for 2 years now. I enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work.

Good job on the explanation. Funny, I just shot the footage on two different sensors but have to go out with one additional one. Figured it would upload week after next. Also, thank you for letting me know that Troxus provides its models with both sensors. I stated last year I would like to see this happening in bikes. The only one I was aware of that provided it was the Eurphree, so thanks so much for educating me more.

Good video, Richard! Another explanation is that a cadence sensor is like an on-off switch: pedal = on; stop pedaling = off. Torques sensor, like you said...more like riding an analog bike.

I liked your explanation. Saying it and showing it are two distinctly different things. You did a great job of showing it. I don’t see that they have a trike yet, though I could be wrong.

I have bikes with both systems. My recommendation is always...... cadence for cargo style bikes... torque for everything else.
Thanks for the demonstration to explain the difference between these sensors.

Are there any Trikes that have both cadence and torque sensors? If not, what Trikes have the torque sensor?

Good job Richard on explaining the difference between cadence and torque sensors. Can you do one on bike saddles? Which ones do you find most comfortable?

If you downshift and pedal faster, not harder, will that give you more speed or less than if you were on max gear and pushing down hard on the pedals?

Hi Richard, I'm think about a Troxus Lynx plus and was wondering how it does climbing hills. I weight 220 pounds and live in the hilly part of Ohio. Does it have enough power to get me up the hills? Also, for going up hills is it better to use cadence or torque sensing? Thank you.

I have only ridden a cadence, 5,200 miles. I always pedal and don’t just move the pedals to move, I work them and end up pushing against the motor.

Wow! I thought I somewhat understood the difference between sensors, but now I realize I didn’t really. Thanks for this video. Only problem is I was looking at a pair of less expensive e-bikes with only cadence sensors-now I guess I’ll have to put off my purchase and wait til I can afford two of these. Are there any discounts available for a combo purchase of these?
@kelalamusic92585 ай бұрын
That was an excellent explanation of the two sensors. I’ve always wondered about that. Troxus appears to be an excellent brand, and coming with a 5 year warranty shows how reliable the bikes must be. Do you know if they sell an e-trike? That’s what I’m in the market for. Thank you for a great review.

Great video! I have a Mokwheel Basalt that I purchased in March. Is there a setting I can change for PAS 1 to lower the speed to around 10 mph? Right now it is around 15mph and I’m getting ghost pedaling pretty bad. Thanks for your help, and you have a great channel.

This is a very interesting and helpful video. I'm just starting to look into an ebike. You appear to be pretty tall person. I'm 6 ft. What are your thoughts as to the best tire size to get?
@pedrofernandez87297 ай бұрын
In a previous video, you said that on torque sensor, it's best to just leave it on PS 5 all the time and just use the pedals to determine your speed. Do you still feel the same way?
@Jen-CelticWarrior7 ай бұрын
Good question. I can see how it would be nice to have that power when you wanted it.
@polok8903 ай бұрын
Yah, torque sensor bikes you get so little assist that your just keep it in 5 assist to feel anything

Didn't have a good understanding of the differences. Got a cadence sensor to save a few bucks and after 500 miles, now glad I did. Suits my style. Lazy. Ghost peddling helps to fool people, when I'm out committing the crime of using trails that ban ebikes...

You description of cadence sensor isn’t necessarily true. A lot of companies like Lectric have changed from a specific speed per PAS level to a specific amount of watts of assist per PAS level.

I just don't see any benefit to cadence other then reduced cost. If you want to ghost pedal because you don't want to put in any effort then I would just use throttle.
