Absolutely love these outlets! I'm just half assed DIYer and the worst part of wiring for me is making a decent sheperds hook and getting a nice tight connection to the receptacle on every outlet.. words can't describe how happy I was when I found out there's a product you can just strip and push

Is it always necessary to pigtail ground wire? I dont know anything about electrical and am wanting replace some outlets in my home.

All the grounds should be connected. How you do that is up to you. But putting a pig tail together isn’t bad practice. Capping the grounds together also helps with the ends no poking into something else.

These are great. Connection is solid and they are super safe due to not having exposed screws.
