cort is a good one overall. I got af800mce and no regrets. Serving my purpose well. Beginners guitar buying could be daunting task. I highly suggest you go to a shop play and see which is more comfortable to hold, has a good sound to your ears and get it. I really liked epiphone but it was nearing 15k and cort stood out for me. Fender sound was not great on the entry level so was the yamaha's. Cort was the clear winner for me. But boy solid wood guitars should be ones aim after entry level, if you progress well in the guitar journey.

This sound is captured directly plugged into an audio interface. Yes it sounds good on an amp however it largely depends on the quality of the amp / speaker as well.

Edc sounds better for sure acoustically. If you have the budget go for EDC. Output sound wise we haven’t found much difference.

If you want good guitar from Yamaha go for F310 which is Indonesia build. F280/FX280 is Indian build, little cheap and not sturdy.
