@@heinrichskies don’t do it all at once. Lower levels take MUCH less time to get than higher levels. Since you don’t need to get to a certain level (like level 30 on an enchantment table) to combine them, it should take not long for each enchantment as you can get multiple levels at a lower level from just killing a few mobs. If you have an XP grinder, even less time.

I prefer vice versa, because sword can 1 shot undead too, does way better with sweeping edge and most of swarming mobs in mc are undead (besides piglins), affects the most common part in this game which is undead. I tested both sharpness 5 and smite 5 swords in my hardcore world and I felt way more comfortable with smite 5 because it one shots almost everyone, overworld, skeletons and drowneds every where, nether, I am in nether wastes where zombified piglins dominate, end, then I use sharpness

I'm super late with this, but some very important advice: ENCHANT YOUR GEAR BEFORE REINFORCING IT WITH NETHERITE. Diamond gear is cheaper to enchant than Netherite, so enchant it first, then add the Netherite ingots to your gear afterwards.

Just a tip: Don't use combined enchanted books (e.g. 6 unbreaking 1s to make an unbreaking 3 book) since this will make the combination of this book to other books more expensive. I messed up twice by doing this... Please, don't do the same mistake I did. I combined a lot of sharpness 1 books to make a sharpness 5 book, now it costs me 20 exp levels to combine a unenchanted diamond sword with the sharpness 5 book I have. Hence, making the enchantment "Too Expensive!" at the end. I wasted more than 200 emeralds and more than 80 levels by doing that.

Fire aspect sets you on fire as much as it sets mobs on fire. Just use flame on your bow. Knock back sucks when fighting nether mobs. You don’t want to knock back skeletons or blazes. Sure it’s great against creepers and wither skeletons.

Each item that is added in an anvil has a hidden value called an anvil use. if you put highly smashed together items together, it costs more xp. This is why the YT does the specific enchanting order. But I agree you shouldn't enchant first because there's a high likelihood you don't even get half the stuff you want

@@coertain Thorns is really useful. Especially when combined with mending. As long as you're not purposely letting mobs hit you to do damage to them it is good to have on your armor to deal extra damage if any enemy attacks get through. It's amazing in pvp as well.

*THINGS TO NOTE:* It cost less XP to enchant Diamond with books than Netherite, but if you enchant Netherite in the Enchantment table, it has better odds of giving more/better enchants despite costing the same. Also, You can NOT get Sharpness V in a Enchantment Table, or from Villagers. You must get two level IV's and combine them. I do not believe that Sharpness IV may be traded for and it's also rare to find in the Enchantment Table, but don't be discouraged because combing Sharpness III books until you get sharpness V might make the final product too expensive in the anvil and not work depending on how many enchants you wish to have. You may however, find them in Strongholds or Endcity's, but im not 100% sure if you can. Another thing to note, if you struggle finding the right enchant, you can Enchant than disenchant the item until it gives you some of the Enchants needed, than you can just add the books from there. Remember though, that a single book should only have 3 enchants or else it will most likely become to much XP for other books to be applied.

i would recommend having smite 5 on an axe if you have a sharpness sword, you can one shot undead mobs (zombies and skeletons) without even having to crit them, and it is more convenient than carrying 2 swords. it just makes fighting mobs easier.

I was going to comment something similar, but IMO the reason to put smite on the axe is that axes are already buffed against undead mobs. I believe Python made a Smite 5 axe once to use on the wither and it was so quick at taking the wither down.

Just note that the enchantments can be combined even more efficiently than shown in the video, some examples: Boots: ((Boots + Soul) + (Depth + Mending)) + ((Feather + Unbreaking) + Protection) 12 + 10 + 2 + 17 + 3 + 5 = 49 (vs 51 in video) Helmet: ((Helmet + Respiration) + (Protection + Mending)) + (Unbreaking + Aqua) 6 + 8 + 2 + 9 + 2 = 27 (vs 33 in video) Sword: ((Sword + Sweeping) + (Looting + Mending)) + (Sharpness + Unbreaking) 6 + 10 + 2 + 12 + 3 = 33 (vs 41 in video) The combinations shown in the video are pretty good, but not optimal. ;-)

I also REALLY hope Shulkercraft takes some time in that new video explaining why he didn't put Thorns in armor, otherwise the comment section will be full of dozens of people repeating "You forgot Thorns, you forgot Thorns" again. Just in case, mention Bane of Arthropods as well. Overall, the reasoning behind each exclusion should be explained, because I'm seeing lots of confused people in the comment section. EDIT: Not sure if the absence of Impaling was intentional or not. It's quite useless in Java, so I understand not including it, but on the other hand, there's absolutely no downside on adding it to the trident (other than the XP cost, I guess).
