really nice build! in my experience (hbg and lbg main), i've found that guard 5 with embolden 3 is enough to block almost any attack from any monster. powder mantle is also a very good skill to include in this build since blocking doesnt cancel out the skill from turning to blue. also quick tip for gunners out there, you can use the switch skill "tackle" right after you silkbind glide, and then shoot right after to cancel out the recovery animation from the glide.

The tank I can definitely see has potential, usually I use elemental which is STRONG in Sunbreak but is of course a DPS style (I use Power barrel) this is so fun to use instead of.

l'm a HBG main myself, sadly MHW was my 1st game, got dragged in due to my little sister, who is... not the best at the game, but played nearly all MH games. I did struggle at 1st in MHW since l didn't knew my style, then l found shield and went for tank build, even having challanger mantle to lure the monster to me haha. In MHR it continued though... my tank build is weaker in dmg, not an expert in end game builds, but hey, so long one has fun and enjoys that playstyle, who are we to judge right? My setup is: Weapon: Royal Order Bowgun+ (since going for pierce rounds) Armor: Melahoa Hat X Diablos Mail / Vambrace X Rakna Coil X Jyuratodus Greaves X Fortitude Petales III Fatal Tampest Talisman Skills are: Def Boost lv.7; Guard lv.5; Spare shot lv.3; Offensive Guard lv.3; Pierce Up lv.3; Recoil Down lv.3; Divine Blessing lv.3; Part Breaker lv.3; Reaload Speed lv.2 (since gun has already good reload); Paralysis Res lv.2 and Agitator, Resentment, Water Attack, Stamina Surge, Spread up, Spirit Bird call and Tune up on lv.1 And yes, not the best build for dmg, but heck, mostly l'm the one who dies the least and with Heal Ammo can keep team alive too! Got around 1008 Def haha and still need to finish the augmentation for the gun.

Good one!, Spread tends to focus on weak parts, so when agitated the monsters takes 1.4 more damage, 75% of the time. *(10+50+15=75, base+WEX+AGI as critical chance modifiers go) 1 level of Bloodlust would do wonders to up the % to 95 in some parts of the hunt tho.

Hbg needs shield for rise or else it would be useless when any master rank monster can 2 shot you in gunner armor, it’s already too weak for being the least mobile weapon in the game having lightbowgun outclass it in some areas which is conceptually insane

​@@camelenon9533 nah shield is only good for spread and shrapnel, since those bullet type required you to stay close in the monster. but for pierce and sticky shield is not needed since you can shoot relatively far especially if you have ballistics and steadiness 3. so you can just use evade extender and more damage skills.

Im running hbg shield with magna hbg for spread/pierce with powder mantle among other off/def skills. I find afflicted way less stressful now plus blue powder attacks are really good for taking out difficult red zones

Yo, Sunbreak just came out on Xbox this last Friday (three days ago on April 28th) and I only just beat the final story boss last night. Is there a skill that allows you to recover life from dealing damage? Like old Val Hazaak armor?

Kushala blessing 3 allows passive recovery beyond the red portion, like Vaal hazak's healing skill. Bloodrite is a skill that heals per hit on a broken part depending on damage, skill level, and additional recovering buffs. Malzeno and anomaly targets can inflict blood light on you. So you can tackle weak attacks that give the blight and then heal via hitting the monster anywhere. Keep in mind that bloodblight halves the recovery effects from your other sources like items. There are a good handful of Dango food skills that allow active healing such as Dango shifter and super recovery Dango LVL 4 that can help. Rise does not have health augments for weapons, but there are more ways to heal.

I think he has an Attack 3 with 3 Lvl 1 slots, that would give him Attack Boost Lvl 6, then he got +1 attack as an Augmentation, I could be wrong. The rest of the build requires Qurious Crafting. I don't know how that works, but it seems to involve luck and re-rolls, that may be your problem, I'm still building this but I'm worried about those augmentations.
