"I love getting one shot" Relatable.. As a very average skill player, I tried using meta HBG build for R.Shagaru and R.Valstrax the ammo reserve really hits you, plus I got carted multiple times. xD

You've mentioned a few times that bowgun users get one-shot a lot. Why is that? I don't use the ranged weapons, so I don't get why they'd be squishier than melee.

There's a defense bonus for melee, you can see it in the armor description

Melee gets a physical defense bonus, ranged gets an elemental defense bonus. The difference is enough that ranged users will usually get oneshot in the endgame, but not melees

Melee have raw damage resistance while ranged have elemental damage resistance, the problem is most attacks are raw based, like 90% raw 10% element, so raw damage resistance is much more helpful than elemental damage resistance
