When you're NOT in face tracking and say you're in spot focus mode, can you assign a button to start eye/face tracking? I can't find the option in the custom button (video) menu. I want to be on spot on a person, and hit af-on button to start tracking face/eye. Looks like it's not possible. Thanks.

Hey Matt, thanks for the informative video. I am struggling with trying to shoot a video on Manual Focus Mode and wanting to use the AF-ON button to quick switch to AF , it simply doesn`t work. Nor vice versa. Any ideas why?

Thanks for the video! Trying for the first time CLOG (when using CLOG3 tho, AF wont work at all, just doesnt show eyetracking nor other tracking) So normally I watch the footage on my PC and then decide which clips I like to import in Premiere Pro. Is this possible with CLOG?

Clog3 shouldn’t make any difference for your camera and the AF should be the same. You’d have to do some troubleshooting online for your specific problem but autofocus and eye tracking works for me using Clog3.

Hey there, good video keep up your great work 😊 What autofocus settings you suggest when iam filmed in the city with a wide angle lens and talking about buildings etc .. and the camera guy swaps from me to the buildings behind me ? How can i achieve the smoothest autofocus?

If you're going to film yourself I would just keep the eye tracking mode on, it should auto adjust to the buildings around you. Turn down the focus locking I showed in the video as it will help transition easier

I would advise against auto as your shutter speed should be double your frame rate and auto mode may set this incorrectly to compensate for the lighting. You’re much better learning the settings it isn’t very hard

As a beginner myself I wouldn’t go auto. I really Took my time to learn and kept watching videos. Since everything is free to learn thru KZbin. Trial and error is your best friend

My video focus keeps making a clicking sound, its even showing up in the footage and sounds terrible. My canon r6 is only 5 days old. Is this normal?

You’ll want a high aperature number although you will have to compensate with shutter speed and iso.

@@royaltykidstv it’s depends on the size of the church if you have a monitor your should be able to see what’s in focus. If not zoom into your screen and double check. Just change it until it’s all focussed.

Well if you don’t have the vehicle auto focus your camera must be quite out of date. They improved auto focusing in the last few updates as well as better stabilisation and overheating fixes so I would update. If you don’t know how there’s many tutorials online it only take a few minutes
