Fun Fact: in "Karate Choppers" when Sandy is gonna use the hot sauce on Spongebob, the face in the drop is Tom Kenny, Spongebob's voice actor. After filming the scene, Tom couldn't get the red facepaint off so he had to go to a meeting at the Nickelodeon studio wearing bright red face paint the whole time.

SB-129's concept is absolutely hilarious. The episode's funniest moments are the Surprised SpongeGar face, the "FUTURE!!" line, and the part when Squidward ends up in the middle of nowhere and we see the word "alone" a bunch of times. Although, the way they have him get back into the time machine is lazy writing. Definitely a very enjoyable episode with some pretty funny moments.

Paranormal researcher here. That time travel episode reminds me of Tom Campbell's theory that the only reason anything exists, or happens, is to teach you how to be more loving. That's how squid got home only after learning his lesson. The same thing happens in near death experiences when people go to hell. They only get out once they call for God. Who is love himself.

I've forgotten about so many of these episodes over the years, so these reviews are a fun nostalgia trip! Slightly scary story related to falling asleep with your hair wet. I once had a coworker who randomly started getting rashes/blisters when holding cups of iced coffee, so she scheduled a doctor's appointment to try and figure out what was going on. Before the appointment came, she went to sleep one night with wet hair and the fan on, and woke up with hives and barely able to breath. When she went to the ER she found out she has a rare condition called cold urticaria, literally an allergy to cold that can develop randomly. So at least if you're as unlucky as my coworker, going to sleep with wet hair can legitimately be dangerous

Krabs firing Spongebob just for handling his personal karate business with Sandy was a little extreme in my opinion. I mean, you're his employer. Your not the boss of his entire life. It couldn't have been hard to just say, "Don't practice that shit at work" and call it a day

I don't know if you've heard of the theory that in karate choppers the whole episode when spongey and sandy are doing karate that they are being used in place of an overly sexually active couple and Karate is an allegory for sex which isn't as crazy as you'd think considering how sandy springs on SpongeBob as soon as he gets home and spongey changes into gear for "safety first", the fact SpongeBob calls sandy at night for karate, sandy getting more adventurous with the hot sauce and the fact spongey was letting the idea of karate with sandy impact his job to the degree it did and of course let's not forget the whole Mr Krabs sniffing both SpongeBob and sandy and mumbling about them being mammals thing.

Yes, that was Tom Kenny as the drop of hot sauce in Karate Choppers. On one of the DVDs there's an audio commentary for the episode where he revealed that the scene was shot in the bathroom of Nickelodeon Studios. Afterwards, the face paint wouldn't come off, so he had to go to his next recording session with red paint still on his face.
