Best Explorer Homage under $100USD? Quartz Addiesdive

I love this Addiesdive watch. Mine also had some sharp/rough bits, including the laser-etched back. So I got some fine sandpaper and very gradually and carefully got rid of those few sharp points and edges, and now I find it super-comfortable. I forget I am wearing it. If you compare it to the exact model of the watch it is homaging, it looks almost exactly the same, down to the printed indices. So if you love the style of that original (and very expensive) watch, you are getting the same classic look with this cheap alternative.

I’m surprised at how much wrist time this thing gets. Not only is it comfortable, but I love the case proportions they have used. It’s nice and slim which makes it perfect for wearing with sweaters and jackets. Love the domed crystal and lume too!

@@realestwatchreviews Me too. With the five microadjustment holes, closely spaced, you can get a perfect fit! Then with the quartz movement, the watch becomes the perfect grab -and-go. It's running, it's comfortable, I'm in a rush to get out of the house, so I can quickly put it on and leave!

Mine arrived 3 days ago and I am delighted with it ! It appears to be running to within 0.5 seconds per week which is in contrast to my AD2112 which is massively, and inconsistently, inaccurate. My micro adjust holes are also oval and I have had to open them up slightly to be able to use them. I am happy with the bracelet and AR at this price point. If Addiesdive were to offer this case with the dial of the AD2112 I would certainly buy one as this would give me the early and later Explorer dials. I doubt I will ever buy another auto watch as the VH31 cannot be beaten.

Of the 3,the addiesdive looks the best,better dimensions.uncomfortable bracelet… never had a watch with an uncomfortable bracelet.Its not as if you’re wearing a pair of shoes 1size too small

I can't pretend I could ever afford a real 1016 but WOW, I am very happy with this watch. The VH31's 4 ticks a second is even pretty close to the original 1016's 5 (I think?). I personally don't mind the silly "deepseahunter" on the dial, but if they removed it I think it would be very tough to find a better explorer homage this side of 100 bucks.
